Hi all-wondering if anyone here has had issues with constant inflammation of the pancreas. I have had it since Feb. My dad died of Pancancer a yr ago--thankfully my scans have been clear. I cant help but think this is tied to the stabbing nerve pains, muscle twitching, joint cracking--all over my body, and the random numbness and buzzing that started a yr back. I went on lyme meds for about 2 months off and then went off as I was not convinced I had it (had a couple pos numbers but that was it).

Have you been to a LLMD yet?

How long do you think you might have had a TBI - without any tx? The longer a person goes un- or under-txed, the longer it takes to rid the body of it.

So far I have had to have my appendix & my GB removed because of them being infected & then becoming diseased & infected. I know that I'm far from being alone with this.

I am a firm believer that there is absolutely nothing off limits to the TBI's once they get into our bodies.

I did go to an LLMD and she suspected lyme due to labs and symptoms--however I was only pos on a couple (thinik 32 and 34 if I remember properly), so I wasnt convinced I had it. I never got a rash and live in the city too. I was on meds for about 2 months

Personally, I didn't test pos. for any TBI's until after a full yr on stong abx. Now, well, now I test pos. for 2 - & have sxs of most. Kind of feels like we go backwards a ways before any progress is made!!

I never did have the bulls' eye rash - but less than 1/2 of those who do have LD ever get that specific rash.

Being in the city doesn't mean that you can't get LD - it gets transferred from ANY biting insect. If it can bite an animal - it can carry TBI's to humans.

Since LD is now "the Great Imitator" - not my words, but those of docs & researchers who work with LD patients - It doesn't always like to 'show all of it's cards' all at once a lot of times. That's what makes it so hard to dx & treat. It's as individual as the person who has it.

What is recommended by 'those who know', is that tx continue for 2 months after all sx have been resolved. If you have already reached the stage of 'chronic', then it's quite possible to have sx resurface. =(

Do you have any clue as to when you might have gotten infected? As for me, now knowing that I test pos for RMSF - I was infected before the age of 6 or 7. It also explains why my health has always kept the docs 'going back to the books' - as they always tell me.

I have no clue. I have had odd stuff go on for a couple yrs--in 07 it started with gerd that would not go away. In May I did get these little red bumps on my thighs-4 of them, looked like flea bites. I got sick after, dr put me on antibotics as I was paranoid it was MRSA or something (though it really was small bumps). In June all hell broke loose- within two wks I started to get the following-stabbing/burning nerve type of pains mainly in odd parts of my hands, ankles, feet...., extreme joint cracking all over, muscle twitching all over (thousands per day), a feeling as though my leg was vibrating. I had numerous tests-MRI's, EMG, labs-all clear. Then I started getting detns and lines in all my nails, and random numbness in my right hand. I went to an LLMD, got on meds in Nov for 2 months. Then in Feb the pancreas issues started up, though the other symptoms have died down a lot (though still there, especially the muscle twitching).

I have had scans of my pancreas and they have been fine so far (thank God)...I just dont know what to think

Hi king,

Sorry for your misery. Re-consider the lyme and other possible concurrent infections. Find a good llmd and get a clinical diagnosis and do whatever tests are necessary to get you on track with treatment. The sooner the better.

Bablymers mom gave some excellent advice!

With the exception of the pancreas, those are all things that can be associated with Lyme & other TBI's.

Lyme is NOT something to hope you don't have - it's best to get to someone who is truly qualified to evaluate you.
