Owwwww....my joints!  Was doing so well then bam...the weather gets cold and I'm hurting so badly - hands, knees, hips, even the soles of my feet.  Was hoping not to have to ask LLMD for pain management (my Lyme is more neuro...until now), but I work and I may have no choice.

Just venting....and perhaps this is also a shameless plea for hugs! cry

Lala - I don't know yet how to send a "smiley face" hug, but consider one sent. I always say winter hurts, same reason. The only thing I've found to help me get through cold weather is to make sure I am always warm enough. That means dressing in layers, and sometimes I smuggle a little hot water bottle under my clothes. Living in California, it's not so bad most of the time, though we do have a few cold days here. I'll never forget where I grew up in Maryland and the whole winter was one giant struggle to stay warm enough.

Hey Lala,
A lot of lymies suffer from increased pain simply because of weather patterns. It has encouraged me to stay on the couch, under blankets (yep- had to put an 's' on the end of that!!).
I have what my docs have referred to as Lyme arthritis, looks like I have osteo (fingers & toes becoming deformed) - although my blood shows no arthritis markers.
In other words - they have no clue what to do with me!!!!

Sooo - HUGS ALL AROUND, I say!!!!!!!

Maybe this group hug will keep us warm!!
One week it was in the low 80's here and the next week the high was in the 30's! We will have no fall color because the trees went from green to frozen and the leaves withered.

I think our symptoms also worsen in the fall. I know mine have. But I do hate the cold and it can be miserable here dropping to minus 30 degrees sometimes. Thank goodness the good TV shows are coming back on. Otherwise i would be in bed at 6. It isn't just the cold. It is the darkness that gets to me and the clouds. So gloomy. I put the Christmas tree up on Thanks Giving and take it down in Feb. That is warm and cheerful. And an electric blanket shared with all the cats is wonderful!

One room in the house is warmer than all the others. I shut the door, turn on the electric heater and keep that room toasty.  Come out when I have to.
