lyme treatments

Currently being treated for bartonella and wonder what anyone elses's experience has been with treatment.  My doctor started me off on mepron for babesia cause I have that too.  No response after two months so he changed me to bactrum and biaxin.  WOW  for six weeks I was showing all kinds of improvement then it stopped and I went back to where I was, so he changed me to Levaquin. It's been a month now and no response.  My questions is--Is this how it goes-just keep trying antibiotics til he finds some that work??

 

Also a friend of mine needs an LLMD in Washington State.  Anyone know of one?

 

 

That's my concern.  I'm not sure my LLMD knows how to treat me.

 

When I was on the bactrum and biaxin there was no doubt I was improving.  A lot of my symptoms were about 90% better. Hot flashes and night sweats almost totally gone, fatigue 90% gone,  balance remarkably better, strength better--I was getting so much better.  Then it stopped. And I'm back to where I was before the Bactrum and Biaxin.

 

 I'm on levaquin now and don't feel it's doing anything.  I think he should add something to it.  He doesn't.  That's my concern.

What kind of dogs do you show? I love animals. My step sister has bull mastifs(sp?) that usually always come out first or second in shows. They are gorgeous.

I'm sorry you seem to be hitting a brick wall with your treatment. How long have you been on Levaquin? You should give it a few months before switching medications. Do you currently still have Bart symptoms?
