Has anyone had experience with testing for parasites?
has anyone heard that ticks carry parasites?

you sound like you're in the same boat i'm in- how long have you been getting symptoms? Most people do have parasites. I don't know what to tell you about brain damage but i do feel you on that one- i worry about that too-

my parasite symptoms were chest pains and stomach pains and bloating. i had to take a special stool test to find out I had 3 parasites and after taking medication for 2 of them everything changed. I had been doing herbal parasite cleanses over the years but for these parasites I took the pharmacuticals.

Ugh, I have those 3 symptoms. I did a parasite cleanse early this year but it was very gentle. I probably should do a stronger one.

I was shocked about the parasites because i have done herbal parasite cleanses but if you aren't taking the specific herbs or pharmacuticals for the specific parasite it does nothing. I tried the herbal naturopath formula but the die off was too much so I did the pharmucitical.
I am waiting now for lyme test to come back because i have too many neurological rhumatoidal and cognitive stuff going on. 25 tubes of blood between 3 different labs.

Oh, I didn't read this post before.  Glad you are being tested for lyme, I hope one of the labs is IgeneX.

I believe everyone has parasites, it's just common sense due to the foods we eat, the air we breath, etc.   I plan on taking humaworm for cleansing. 

Are you are on any detox regime?  That helps with the die-offs tremendously.

I seriously couldn't survive without my detox baths. I think Apple Cider Vinegar baths makes me Herx though.

Yes Igenex was one of the labs for lyme test. the stool test for parasites was in I think Georgia snd cost $395. the parasites were strongyloides, hook worm and dientamoeba fragilis. I took ivermectin for strongyloides and the chest pains were gone. the same medicine for pin worms was the hookworm presc but I forget name and for the dientamoeba the presc is flagy. but the lyme doc told me to hold off on flagyl till lyme tets come back. Also she gave me teassel and japaneese knotwood to take for a week before testing . I think to help bring out the antibodies or something because this is very old. she told me japaneese knotwood (resveratrol sets off lyme whic I found weard because I see it advertised as good for lyme.

bucci, what was the name of the lab in georgia? you sound a lot like me to be honest- i think i am dealing with parasites too but was wondering what lab to try and test through- i already did the typical stool tests here in houston but i think i need something more - did you lose a lot of weight from the strongyloides? I know those suckers are fierce- i have considered i may be dealing with that- strongyloides can certainly cause chest pain- cold hands and feet too and weight loss- my hubby came back positive for dientamoeba fragilis too- used metrondozile.

I did a product called humaworm which was good- i think you have to cycle it -use it on a "routine" but i've considered doing another stool test to see if i'm still dealing with anything.

JenninPa- how do you do your apple cider baths? are there any other baths that you rotate? Do you use the epsom/hydro peroxide baths too? I am doing the epsom salt baths right now, but was looking for different variations. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the name was metagenics....and I got it through a naturopath it was the 2100 series test and was about $395
it was incredibly informative. I fyou go to naturopath they will know what it is. it was a lavander and white color box and had different tubes in it and then you fed ex it to lab.

bucci- did you by chance mean metametrix? i couldn't find anything on metagenics...do i have to go through a naturopath to be tested by them or can i do this on my own? Thanks!

not sure if you have to go through a naturopath or some chiro's do it too but you may need some help with translation. there is a lot of info other than just parasites. My friend and I both got the test and we sit here trying to figure out what our numbers mean and we really need the naturopath to tell us. I think there is a number you can call at metametrix for help but I got the feeling they talk to the doctors. (not sure). What I found interesting was my girlfriend (gay lover) had no parasites and very low yeast. But it turned out showing pancreas insuffiencey . so it was very eye opening for her. and important to know.
