Mepron Dosage - How Much??

Hi.  I hope someone can help me.  I was taking 1 tsp of Mepron twice a day for the last couple of months.  My LLMD talked with me about doubling the dosage to 2 tsp twice a day, but when I picked up my rx today the label said 4 tsp twice a day.  I'm concerned that that is too much.  I can't reach my LLMD till Monday.  If you have taken Mepron, how much did you take?  Thanks.

That does sound like a mistake. 2 x 2 does not equal 8!! I was taking 1 tsp twice a day. I would call both the doctor and the pharmacist and get them to talk.

I take a tsp twice daily. It doesn't really taste that bad, but the the consistency and color are really yucky! Good luck. I'm taking it right now with Ketek and it seems to be really helping.

I also took 2 tsp. daily along with Biaxin.

Be sure to take your Mepron with something fatty. It was a good excuse to eat some icecream at night and Peanut Butter in the morning.

I ate a whole jar of peanut butter in three days! I got a spoon and just kept going back to the jar:)
