I remember reading a while ago that the lyme brain can build up ammonia or some toxins. I am having a ton of brain issues and wondering what can be done to help detox the brain?

If you know of specific brands or supplements please also include them.

cmacaran, I do know the natural protocols include detoxes- like Cowden has pinella, parsley and burber- Dr. J has a neuro detox- but i have not tried any of these so cannot give you a good opinion on how they work- I would like to hear how those on abx have detoxed- perhaps a few of the veterans will let us know- I can tell you that chlorella is a good heavy metal detox- fiber is also good at binding to toxins and pulling them out- Garden of life has a detox drink with chia, flax and alfalfa- pea husk too- I have used both of these products. Be aware that Chlorella will change the color of you Bowel movement- black. Chlorella is a green superfood with chlorophyll- also good at providing energy.

I had ammonia not only in my brain but my body as well.  What helped me tremendously was Dr. Jernigan's Neuro-Antitox CNS/PNS formula which is all natural but does contain 20% grain alcohol so if you are taking antibiotics you may have to remove the alcohol (depending on the antibiotic) before taking this product which can be done very easily.

you might want to get an infarred sauna, I bought mine on ebay for $180. I love it. It makes you sweat like crazy.

Co Q 10 is a supplement that is helping my neuro issues. I am going to get Dr Jernigan's neuro antitox when I get some$$$

this sounds weard but for brain detox I do coffee enema. it doesn't effect you same as drinking coffee and in holistic medicine it is
used all the time for liver disease. If you google and read up it explain wya better than I can. first thought must have clear colon.
All I can say is it works and in my "opinion" only, a main ingredient to taking medications is processing them through the liver.

Such as ingredients, where to purchase, cost and general length of time for use before seeing some results?

Hi all,

CG:  Never heard of Detox Drops until you mentioned it.  I googled it and it sounds good to me.   From what I read it contains 3 herbs:  Dandelion, Fennel, and African geranium.

Acetyl L Carnitine and Alpha Lipoic acid are both very good for the brain. ALA is a powerful antioxidant and detoxer. ALCAR is supposed to help memory and cognition. Huperzine is recommended by Buhner to help with same things. I am using them all but not too much improvment yet.
