the show "The Doctors" and yet another disappointment

I watched "The Doctors" today only because they were going to discuss the 5 most 'emerging infectios diseases':  Here is my Email to them:

THE 5 EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND NO-NONE-NADA - MESSAGE about LYME DISEASE.

AFTER 10 YEARS OF BATTLING THIS DISEASE WITH, PSYCHIATRISTS, PSYCHOLOGISTS, INFECTIOUS DISEASE DOCTORS, ORTHOPAEDIC DOCTORS, RHEUMATOLOGISTS, THE MEDICARE SYSTEM, MY INSURANCE COMPANY, I AM STILL MOSTLY HOME BOUND.  I WAS 35 WHEN THIS STARTED, I TURNED 45 THIS PAST NOVEMBER.

YES I HAVE A POSITIVE LD TEST (THE RIDICULOUS CDC TESTING) AND MANAGED TO JUMP THROUGH ALL OF THE HOOPS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE MEDICARE BENEFITS YEARS AFTER TESTING POSITIVE.  I CURRENTLY HAVE A PICC LINE IN FOR THE 2ND TIME (MAYBE THE 3RD - I CAN'T REMEMBER-NO MEMORY IS ONE OF THE SYMPTOMS)IN 10 YEARS AND AM STILL WAITING TO GET BETTER.  THIS DISEASE RIPPED MY LIFE OUT FROM UNDERNEATH ME ALMOST OVERNIGHT.  YET AS IS ALWAYS THE CASE, LYME DISEASE WAS NOT MENTIONED IN YOUR TOP 5 EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASES.

I AM MAD AS HELL AND I WANT ANSWERS.  DO YOU HAVE ANY?

WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE?  DO I HAVE TO TAKE A MEGAPHONE AND YELL FROM THE ROOF TOP OF MY HOUSE UNTIL A TV CREW SHOWS UP... AND THOSE WITH LD SHOW UP (THOSE THAT CAN-WITH NO ENERGY AND THE VERY FEW THAT HAVE RECOVERED?).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH CHRONIC LYME DISEASE.... HELP THE FAMILIES OF THOSE THAT HAVE DIED.... HELP THOSE THAT ARE THE WALKING DEAD.

FYI -
The 5 "emerging diseases" were HIV/AIDS, MRSA, ABX RESISTANT TB, H1N1, and 'the ENVIRONMENT". One doctor mentioned mosquitoes and ticks.................... This has really chapped my @RSS.

We should just rename this disease and call it the "Rodney Dangerfield disease"......NO RESPECT......from doctors, insurance company's, governments, families, you name it NO ONE except for us who have to live with it respects this disease. Well besides a few LLMD's

For those of you who are too young to know, or never heard of Rodney Dangerfield, he was a comedian who was famous for his no respect phrases.

Somebody needs to send "the doctors" the research supporting chronic Lyme. They won't respond favorably to emotional appeals without evidence backing it up.

HIV/AIDS should never make the list as an emerging disease.

So preventable you have to go out and ask for it.

Somebody needs to send "the doctors" the research supporting chronic Lyme. They won't respond favorably to emotional appeals without evidence backing it up.

I would think they would have a staff of interns that could at least "google" the words Lyme disease.

I get the feeling that the LYME thing is already the "DON'T TOUCH THIS!" disease.

don't talk about it.
don't question it.

It's the "hands off" or you will be blackballed or be in the quack zone.

It' the government. If the truth were told about Lyme the real estate in specific areas would crash.
there is big money in pharmacutical world selling all kinds of drugs for all the misdiagnosis. They are making too much money on fibromyalgia drugs now and they don't even know what causes fibro. I think they know it's lyme.
I think in secret they are working on the lyme thing in the labs but won't admitt it there is too much $$ in the misdiagnosing.

If they google "Lyme" they'll only really pay attention to the "official" websites (such as the CDC's website) that claim Lyme is hard to get, easy to treat/cure. They need to have the evidence of chronic Lyme put under their noses or they'll never be truely educated about this condition.

The cover-up is by a few doctors & govt. This means then that the educational institutions that train the doctors teach that Lyme is "hard to catch, easy to cure" and thus most MD's don't know the truth because of how they are taught in med school. And yes, even with evidence right in front of them (such as yourself) sometimes they are so bought into their medical training that they can't see what the truth is in front of their nose.

I'm taking the prayer approach. Every time I think about my doctor, I pray that she learns all there is to know about lyme disease whether she wants to or not. I pray that information just keep pouring in on her.
