Who has had Bicillin shots twice week?

I'm on the shot once a week and notice it wears off fourth day in or so it seems. All my symptoms come back around the forth day. I'm not in remission or anything, but a whole lot better after I get the shot, I would say by day two I'm much better. Day 6 and 7 old symptoms reappear. Who has done shots twice a week?

I took them 2x and then upped to 3x a week. (2.4 mu at each dose)


if you are on 1.2 mu once a week its probablly not enough, but I am not a doctor!

I felt better within 3 days of the shot, my gut that is. My emotions were off the wall! I felt like crying for no reason. That has gone away. Today was my second shot in my butt? My nurse practioner was very surprised it was given in the butt. The instructions were:

where your crack starts to split at the top (funny huh?) to the right or left of that about 3 inches. Where do you get your Lovelabs? Yes there was a knot as well for me.

My syringe said 1,200,000 iu or something like that. It's the Bicillin L-A

i think bicillin always gets injected into your butt. after the shot you can take a nice hot bath it will help the pain. Do you guys use emla numbing cream before the injection?

Its called EMLA cream you need an rx for it but its cheap. put it on 1 hour ( i used to leave it on 1.5 hours) and it completely numbs the skin so you dont feel the stick of that huge needle. It doesnt do anything to the nuscle though.

I know they gave me 2.4 mu 3x a week due to my size (plus sized) and it may go by weight, however I think in my non medical opinion you need it 2x a week, and maybe that is the eventual plan? It takes a few months to notice any inprovements, but I would say you need to be on them 6 months I think (kind of a guess) I was on them 14 months.

HI Ladies,

I have script for 10 weeks of the shot and we go from there. So I shouldn't expect to see an improvement in the first two shots?  I feel like my energy is better, maybe thats the Co Q10 I'm taking but my stools are not any better, nor my gut. I had my second shot yesterday. I can stand the bite of the shot, I just can't sleep on that cheek at night. Day two of the shot, much less pain.

 

Felt good for 2 days. Woke up today like a truck hit me. I was so excited yesterday that I would only feel bad for a day or so after the shot. Sad. Another one on Friday could be a bumpy road. What were your herxes like?
