Questions about Son's Rash

I just wanted to respond to your post. I'm not sure if this is from the Bartonella, or a reaction to the ABX. Be sure to call his doctor and let them know. Take a picture of all rashes and skin outbreaks. It's important to keep a daily log of your sons symptoms.

Have you seen any changes since your last post?

Thanks for your responses. His rash is gone now -- it only lasted a few days. I did take photos to his doctor and he thought it was the Bart making a statement and not a reaction to the abx.

I am on the same protocol as my son now (a few weeks behind in treatment) so we'll see if I get the same reaction!

The body does not itch and get rashes from a bacteria dying off. The bart does not speak out like that.
I am alergic to pennicilan. I was given it at a hopital once. I broke out in a rash on my chest and my body itched. I then started having trouble breathing.
I know know that I cannot take this drug or any of its simular abx cousins. This is why my baby got over her lyme...on omoxy and I did not because I had to take doxy.

When Lilly got lyme again in the summer of 08 she was put on amoxy, 1,200 for 30 days. She herxed like craxy mid way with a fever of 106 I was out of my mind with worry. But then she was well.
Because of her constant exposer to lyme, like every summer, she has arthris sometimes and is prone to mirgranes. She is 6 now.
I keep her on immune boosters. And vit C. And to keep her from getting stressed, bu keeping her on a routine and structured life.
She is my fragile child. But has not had a fever over 100 in a year. I did take her to Dr. J. in Dec of 08. He put her on such heavy abx. It was unreal. She was throwing up all of the time and get really sick. So we did not continue the treatment and did not go back.
He did stop the trend that she was on, being sick every two weeks out of the month that she had had since she was 11 mos old.
Now we try to keep her diet very good. And she only drinks clean water. That is it. We have a big cold bottle in the kitchen of Crystal. That is all she wants now. But since kids get lyme over and over, it is most important to build up their immune system to be able to deal with the disease.
