Sore lumps in armpit, Anyone?

It started about 2-3 months ago. Left armpit felt sore, felt initially 2, then 3 little lumps, like small ball bearings (pea sized). Also, one band of connective tissue (elastic band type tissue) in same armpit felt strangely rough, sore and subjectively swollen.

Went for diagnostic mammogram Feb 25th (fibrocystic breasts, sister breast cancer). The X-Ray/Ultrasound place called back, and additional films and ultrasound will be done on Mar 23rd.

Strong possibility is also swollen lymph nodes. My LLMD does not want me to go back on antibiotics until this issue is resolved. He suggested biopsies but my GP wants to go the mammogram route initially. Also important to note is the fact that others can't really feel the lumps like I can.

I'll admit that it's a bit concerning for me. I'm looking forward to hearing from anyone who can offer some insights/opinions, and/or share their experiences.

I had this too, under my armpits and on the sides of my neck when I was on treatment. The ones under my arms were so sore that I could barely put my arms down. It was swollen lymph nodes. What helped me a whole lot was dry brushing that area before bathing and soaking in a detox bath.

I am the only one who can feel mine too. Its swollen lymph nodes. I also have them in my neck, these are finally
mimimizing in size since they stared in Oct. 09

I do notice the lumps under my arm pits more when its close to that time of month (period)

It is very annoying for me and I have also noticed that when I sweat under my arms with these lumps
that I have a strong odor and even leave yellow/brownish stains in the armpit of the shirt I am wearing.
White or light shirts are the worse.

The only thing that helped with the lumps for me was antibiotics.
It took the smell away completely too. (loved that part about it)

Have you tried going to a Lymphatic massage therapist? This has been a huge pain saver for me. This massage is very gentle, like they really aren't doing anything at all. But I have found tremendous relief, on my face (esp above my eyes), in my neck, my armpits, at the base of my ribcage and most recently my knees.

Even a couple of sessions will give you some idea of how you can do it yourself when it suddenly appears. Tendency is to push too hard, then you miss the lymph nodes (which reside just under the skin) and instead work muscles or tendons.

If you don't find success with one, try a second one. I got lucky the first time. My cousin (who has Sarcoidosis and Lymphodema) had to try a second therapist before she experienced any relief.
