I just came back from my LLMD. I've been on my (6th???) treatment protocol since being diagnosed 3 years ago. He says my antibody levels are rising, which is a sign the treatment is working! I feel like crap at the moment, but I haven't felt this hopeful for being cured in a long time.
Bartonella
Azithromycin 600 mg/day
Mycobutin 500 md/day

Which antibodies are rising?
I have also seen good results w/ Zith/Rif, though it took a while.

Re: antibodies: my LLMD uses a new test that measures bartonella antibodies. They also culture the blood. My antibodies rose after treatment started. These tests are not approved yet, of course.
Here is the list of antibodies tested. Have no idea what this means!
Bvb 1, Bvb II, BvB III, B henselae, B koehlerai, B volans

Bvb= Bartonella vinsonii berkhoffii (types I,II,III)
I have not been retested since testing positive, but I have BvB I and II.

need some z...if this is your 6th treatment protocol what do you mean by that? Are you with the same doctor all this time? are they treating 6 diferent coinfections? Is this how they treat lyme with one protocol after another? or do they change because one is not working? or because of side effects. How long have you been being treated?
