How is a person diagnosed with ADRENAL FATIGUE????

I think I may have this going on and I want to be prepared for the Endocrinologist. thanks.-- How is it treated???

Hey stutterbug,

Your endo will do a morning cortisol level and an afternoon cortisol level. You will have to get your blood drawn twice in one day. They usually test your cortisol through blood but in my opinion, a saliva test is more accurate. The treatment for Adrenal Fatigue is usually a low dose of hydrocortisone. For Lyme Patients, the dose is usually not over 20mg a day. You will usually take 10mg in the AM and 10mg in the afternoon or PM. Whatever time your doctor thinks is best for you.

Was diagnosed with Fibro and Fatique, chronic fatique, adrenal fatigue, hypothyrodism and more.....etc. 

I have adrenal fatigue... my doctor tested for all hormones. I now take bioidentical progesterone from a compounding Rx, pregnenelone, cortisol and DHEA. My levels of hormones are better after 2 years. I was told I need to keep taking these as long as there are stressors in my life. Well, life is a stessor......

 I only had testosterone and no other detectable hormones mentioned.  I had not gone through menopause and was only 49 years old. 

Excellent docs will test and  treat for this. 

Lyme disease diagnosed last fall been the reason for a long list of ailments I have had for 20 years or so.

Just want to add that my internist also thinks the saliva testing is more accurate. She had NeuroScience Labs send a 4 point test kit right to my home and I was able to mail the results back to them.
