Yeast?

I feel for you, I really do.  I had something very similar happen to me BUT when I was tested for yeast, tests came back negative.

So, take a look at number 4 (and #5 while you are there looking :) on this list.  You may very well have a yeast infection but it is not uncommon for women with Lyme Disease to get something called vulvadynia at least once.  It was a nightmare and it lasted months. The good news is that was years ago and I never got it back.  I hope this helps!! And I could be off track completely. Its just when I saw your post, I wanted to tell you what happened to me.  When I went to the doctor, I was shocked to hear my tests or a yeast infection were negative. My gyno then told me that she sees quite alot of women with vulvadynia and she does not know why they have it. So, of course, I had to look further and low and behold, looks like we can get this too, as we are more vulnerable to so many "weird" things.

I remember my doctor giving me estrogen cream and it did not do a darn thing. I had to "ride out that storm" and I hated it.  You think for sure something is so wrong "down there" and then when my doctor looked at it, she said, everything is fine.

Oh, one more thing that helped me so much. My gyno is a very well known gyno in Berks County, Pennsylvania. She was also misdiagnosed and had Lyme so she is very compassionate about the entire ordeal.  (She had access to antibiotics, knew it was most likely lyme (had a bullseye rash), even though her tests came back negative, but she didn't have the b.s. most of us had. She put herself

on a high dose of antibiotics and that saved her so much grief. 

It helps so much to have a doctor like her.

Thanks to both of you! After the high dose of diflucan and aloe wipes, things started to calm down a bit. I went to walmart because they said the had estrogen cream but opted for a generic form of vagisil and I am much more comfortable now. Thank God!

Robin, yes I'm ok, just had a flare/relapse but got in to Dr C real quick and got my PICC line and am doing a 4 week "tune-up"...lol
I go back for a recheck 5/6 and am hoping they will dc the line and I can resume my life. If there is any chance in my mind that I will need to wait and see and maybe another round I will hold out to June or July to dc the PICC line. Its just such a huge pain in the butt but worth ever second of having it for killing whatg has been activated.
I slipped a disc a few months ago which wreaked havoc on my sciatic nerve and Dr C thinks the trauma from that may have caused the flare/relapse. I'm in no way close to as sick as I was in 07-08. I will email you as soon as I get the chance. I'm really exhausted at the moment and need to take a nap :)
