I had Lyme 16 years ago and was treated with 2 weeks of an antibiotic (can't remember which one). I did not have symptoms at the time but my dr noticed a bull's eye rash on my neck during a routine office visit. I took the antibiotics and hadn't thought about it since - until recently. My 10 yr old son has some health issues which started with a high fever when he was 15 months old.

After much research and many dr's, I am starting to look into whether my Lyme never really went away and perhaps I passed it to him. I recently took the CD57 test and the results were 2% and 28. My Western Blot was negative but I have tons of symptoms that lead me to suspect the Lyme never really went away. My son's WB was positive for Band 41 (g). Sorry to ramble on but I'm wondering if anyone can provide me with information on congenital Lyme or point me in a direction.

Also, can anyone email me with a Lyme literate dr in CT?

I am sorry that you have the need to be here, but you have come to a good place!

There is definite proof that two weeks of abx is not enough to rid the body of tick-born illnesses. A lot of Lyme Literate docs recommend 2 months.
It would be very helpful for you to read the thread at the top of the forum ("New to Lyme? Start here"), as it contains a lot of useful information.

I agree with Razzle about going to 'canlyme' site - they also have a LLMD referral system.
