I think there are 3 strains of Lyme in Europe - not sure if Finland is included in that. They do have a little different "band signature". The German equivalent of the CDC thinks that - for one of the strains - band 58 is indicative of neuro lyme. I can't remember where to find it, but Germany submitted an addendum to the IDSA hearings and urged that they reconsider the guidelines.
There are European Lyme boards. Couldn't find the French site I found a while back, but I did find this

It'd probably be good to ask these same questions on one of the European boards. It's bad enough to have "regular" Lyme - trying to treat an exotic version is even worse. Hope that soon you'll find effective treatment and start to improve. I'm tired and out of energy tonite, but I'll try to do a little more research tomorrow.
