Hi, I'm new here & have a couple of questions.  More than happy to be pointed at earlier threads on the subjects....   Does anyone have experience of using Teasel (not a Cowden herb, but maybe should be)?!   I tried just 4 drops over three days & had a terrible reaction/Herx' - it was worse than when I first got infected: extreme hot & cold fevers, aching all over, terrible tummy etc. - I was bed-ridden for two days & it took me two weeks to recover.  And Yes, I was doing lots to detox as well!  Despite this, I saw this huge reaction as a 'good thing'!  Because it had such big effect I'm assuming that it must be doing something helpful.  My LLMD is looking into this, but has no experience of using it with other patients.  That's why I thought I'd ask here - so if anyone has any experience I'd be glad to hear about it.  Thanks.   Pinella is one of the newer NutraMedix Cowden herbs (it's used in the first few days of the Condensed Protocol along with Burbur & Parsley to detox) - does anyone have any experience of using it?   I'm particularly keen to try it as it's supposed to target brain toxins & hence brain-fog.  Any comments will be gratefully received.   Thanks a lot,     ozoneGirl

So sorry to hear that your insurance co. isn't helping & that your LLMD has to close his practice. 

I'm in the UK & no Insurance Co. will pay anything - most GPs think that "we do not have Lyme here".  And if they acknowledge that it does exist, they think that 2 weeks' abx will cure it!!

I am having to fund my own treatment, & have been for 4-5 years, but at least I found a LLMD to diagnose me in the 1st place.

I hope that you find some useful tips on this site that you can implement.  See the De-Stressing thread, & my post under the Cowden Condensed Protocol thread re' new study showing that NutraMedix Samento & Banderol are more effective than abx.

Having a horrible herx that knocks you on your butt is not an indication that something good is going on in your body. In fact, to have such a horrendous experience with a product that gives you a herx like that is a sign of poor treatment.

What are you doing to detox? Have you done epsom salt, hydrogen peroxide and grated ginger detox baths?

I have tried Teasel and have some at home, but it does indeed brig on the most intense Herx's, so I am not taking it currently. It could be that it is in itself toxic. There is a person by the name of Lady Barbara on the net who swears by it and has had good experience with it. I am doing Rifeing and seem to be doing well with that, so going that way for now.
