Another bizarre symptom!

While I have had a touch I think of raynauds (my palms by my thumbs turn blue in the shower) today my entire palm turned black and a quarter size black circle(like bruise) with a white center has remained.  It is probably Raynauds but just wondering if anyone else has had this.  Thanks.

Hi springsjean. Sorry I don't know about raynauds except what I once saw on a medical mystery show. Do you need a change in temperature to trigger it? I have a similar symptom, but I don't think it is the same thing as what you have. My left leg keeps getting bruising that is not from an injury. Right now my entire left shin is purplish. There are also several other bruises on that leg, all below the knee. What I have is not affected by temperature, and it doesn't always hurt, but it sure can sting and burn. It is fairly superficial; if I push the skin on my leg to either side, the discoloration goes with it. I hope we find an answer, or the answers, to our questions.

Thanks willowrose, it appears mine is triggered by temperature but went to dr. today and she seems to think could be raynauds but also could be spasm caused by low magnesium. Its always when I get up in the morning and get in the shower so I thought it was temperature change. She gave me a shot of magnesium to see if it would help. I am left with a bruise in the middle of my palm which I never got before from what I thought was raynauds. We shall see what happens tomorrow morning.

No, sorry, I haven't had this particular symptom. The only thing even remotely close that I've had is that my veins turn extremely blue - like see them from space blue. I think it was back when my babesia was still active. I think there's a name for it, but I forget. It never bothered me. It just made me look like something out of a sci-fi show.

Ih8Ticks - Did you just have very blue veins (I have that, too, and I have babesia) or did you get what looks like bruises in addition?

In the past, hands would get blue just by my thumbs (maybe blue veins?) but today the entire one hand turned dark blue/black and ended up with bruise afterwards. Am thinking now maybe the detox bath last night brought on the magnesium deficiency which caused the artery spasm which causes raynauds. Again, only guessing, like always with lyme.

I didn't have anything that looked like bruises. In fact, I don't bruise easily at all. The veins were very noticeable because usually my veins are hard to see. I even have problems getting blood drawn sometimes because my veins are so hidden. My babesia symptoms have been quiet for a while now, and I haven't noticed my veins being so blue either.

Funny I just did alot of research on raynauds and it can cause headaches which have been back with a vengence. No headache today for the first time in a while so maybe the detox bath last night. But why it would trigger the raynauds when you would think it would help it is beyond me.

How do you figure the detox bath brought on the magnesium deficiency? Were you using the detox bath recipe found here on HW? or was it from another source?

Probably just another coincidence but I had just started drybrushing detox bathing and that when the hand problem arose. Looking for rhyme or reason why anything happens.

Well, as you already know, sometimes with tick born infections, there isn't any rhyme or even -from time to time- any reason.

What about the pressure you put on your hand while dry brushing??? Could that have something to do with it?

Just a thought, something my nixed up brain would think of.

I sure hope you find some relief!!

I thought of that too. but if you saw my whole hand. OMG, I was left with the bruise in the middle but the rest subsided. I'm sure it was some type of raynauds. just hope thats the end of that.
