This is my first time on a chat. i was wondering if the folks that take Mepron have insurance or have knowledge of getting it at a reduced price. My doctor wants me to take for three months at a cost of $1,110 per month

I am currently taking Mepron and my insurance is covering it, thank goodness!

But I understand your problems....I had to stop my IV Rocephin because my state disability payments have stopped too (hopefully temporarily!). It was costing me over $2000 per month because my insurance (BC) denied me.

From another forum, a thread on finding the best prices for meds:

San Ramon Custom Care Pharmacy (Formerly Medicine Shoppe)
(925) 830-0555

They have the lowest price I could find for Zithromax, Avelox, Clindamycin and a very competitive price for Rocephin. They have great customer service too. If you're not picky about how many vials you receive in each package, they'll go looking for the cheepest supplier per vial for you. Ask to speak to the owners if you have a really complicated order.

Some other good places to try:
Costco Pharmacy (Best out of pocket price on Invanz)
Target Pharmacy
WalMart Pharmacy
You don't need to have one of these stores in your area to order from them, they should all be able to ship to you from their closest store. Costco pharmacy is open to non-members.

Yes. I'm currently taking Mepron and Ceftin and it is covered by my insurance. I really don't know what the limits are on my prescription drug coverage, but so far they haven't rejected any claims. I should probably find out because my LLMD wants me to go back on IV-Rocephin and my Neurologist wants me to consider IVIG. I understand that both of these treatments are expensive.

Hi. I'm looking for the information - my LLMD gave me a website for a place in Canada where mepron is available less expensively. I haven't found it so will call my LLMD tomorrow. I also have a place in Florida - will get that info this week and post when I find it.

Hi. Okay, the place in Florida, which my friend said was less expensive than the Canadian place I told her about, is Infuserve America in Florida. I will continue to look for the information re. the pharmacy in Canada.

Hey everyone, its been awhile... I saw this post. Same thing happened to me with Mepron. Any updates are appreciated. No insurance coverage, $1400 for the month I was quoted.
