Hi all,

I wanted to ask for prayers and good thoughts for my visit to the Hansa Center on Monday. I will be receiving treatment there for two weeks. I will try and post while I am there for those of you who are interested. I hope I can have the same success as some of the other forum members:) I wish you all a wonderful weekend and stay strong!!

Hi Ashlie,

I will definitely be praying for you to experience incredible healing while you are there! I'm sorry that we just missed each other!

I've been home for a day now and feel great. I was out all day running errands and stuff that I never would've been able to do before my visit. What a huge answer to prayer! I learned so much there and have come away changed, and I believe you will too.

Please keep us updated!

Dear Ashlie,

I know you have put much thought into this decision and I believe going to Hansa will give you a new start in your road to healing. 

I am sending you positive vibes and am praying for you (in my own special way)...   You will be in the hands of the best doctors who know this disease better than anyone else in my opinion.

I'm new to the Board but have read alot of post on the hansa clinic it seems gary? maybe the the one i read alot about. I WILL DEFINIETLY WILL bE SAYING PRAYERS EVERYNITE FOR YOU!!!!!!!! YOU CAN COUNT ON IT!!!!!!!

Keeley I was going to email you but didn't see your email address posted on your profile. I am sooo nervous about tomorrow and was wondering what your experience was here. It sounds like it helped for you. Are you following an at home protocol?

You will do great!!! I have not gone there (too expensive for my small pockets), but as you said there are plenty who have & posted about their experiences there. It has really made some positive impact on their health!!

I too will be keeping you in my prayers!!!

Ok, I have to ask this question although I'm sure it's been asked and answered numerous times. What is the cost of the Hansa Center for the initial two weeks, then what is the approximate cost for the supplements thereafter?? Doubt that I can afford it (as Traveler said...too expensive for my small pockets...) but it might be information to tuck away. I admit I haven't studied the website

I sent you an email but for anyone else who is interested I am still continuing on the remedies - some for 1 month, some for 2 or 3 months. Dr. Jowdy also prescribed daily saunas and epsom salt/hydrogen peroxide baths 3 or 4 times a week. Oh, also some light walking for 10-15 minutes a few times a week as well.

I continue to improve and even if it takes 3-6 months (as Dr. Jowdy indicated it takes a lot of patients) to fully recover I will be thrilled. It's taken my body many years to get to this place! Of course if I am symptom-free sooner I will not complain! :) Symptoms that I'm still dealing with include drops in energy at times and some headaches. However, none of the symptoms last as long as they used to, and they are nothing compared to being bedridden for days or a week at a time when I was taking the antibiotic.

Ashlie, (or anyone else for that matter) feel free to ask me anything about my experience and I will answer as best I can!

Mamyou - it really depends on what therapies you are doing while you are there and how many remedies you need but for me the two weeks, plus remedies while I was there and a month supply after was a little over 5k.

kkd - Thank you and I sure hope you continue to get better. I bought the DVD Under Our Skin and watched it today. Scary at best. I realize that my symptoms aren't nearly as bad as most, but being stuck in the house because of dizziness, anxiety and panic attacks is still disabling. I think I need to start saving my money for Hansa!!

Ashlie, you can count on Rhonda's and my daily prayers for you. We just got back from the HC last week for two days of treatment. I am doing amazingly well since the treatment and so is Rhonda. You're going to love the people there at the center. You will feel loved and accepted by each one of them, and as you've no doubt already experienced, the folks at the HC treat you with dignity and respect. It's obvious that each person who works there love their job, you can tell by how they treat you and make you feel like members of their own family. Both doctors are two of the most knowledgeable doctors in the country who treat Lyme and other chronic diseases. You are definitely in good hands!

You couldn't be in a better place. We are praying that God use each doctor, treatment, therapy, remedy and the assistants who work with you to bring healing to your body, mind, soul and spirit. Rhonda (daisyrlb) and myself are thrilled for you and look forward to getting updates from you as you are able to provide them. If you want to know of a great store and cafe where they serve organic and gluten free foods let us know and we'll send you the information for it. The cafe serves some of the most delicious organic and gluten free foods you've eaten--seriously!

May the Lord's touch be upon you and bring total healing to you as you travel on the path to healing for the next two weeks at the Hansa Center. You can and WILL get better. We pray it be so!

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment and post while I had the chance. Traveler - Hugs right back at you and thanks for your support. KKD - Thanks for the email! I appreciate it. Don and Gary - Thanks for the prayers too! The second day at the HC was very interesting in a good way. I agree with you Gary about the atmosphere and the kind people. They truly do care. It was a lot of information to absorb but think we are on the right track. He did find a hiatial hernia( which I didn't know I even had) and was able to fix it right then and there. I could breath better than I have in a long time. Tonight my breathing is not as well as it was this morning so I am going to have him look at it again tomorrow. But it was still an incredible experience. I feel more comfortable now that we have a game plan and can work towards health. Dr. J truly is passionate about what he does and it shows during your visits. I'll try and keep posting during the next two weeks from my visit and hopefully can report some healing. Much love and prayers to you all!

It's called, Green Acres Market, 8141 E 21ST ST N, Wichita, KS, 67206.

In the back of the store they have a cafe wtih daily specials which often include many gluten free products. They have a salad bar too. You can pick out your meal and go sit in the front and eat there or take it back to the hotel. The store is like a mini-Whole Foods Market. The selection of organic foods is pretty good considering it's not a big store. Our favorite is the cafe which we tend to eat lunch at daily. We buy our groceries there and cook dinner and breakfast in the hotel room.

It's easy to get to. Just ask Katy at the front desk and she'll give you directions. I think it's no more than three miles from the HC, maybe four at the most. There's a map on the website too. Just make sure you are looking at the Wichita map and not the KC map because they have two stores.

Hope you like it as much as Rhonda and I do.

Ashlie, thank you for posting about your experience. I am always grateful to read about what people are doing to get better, and about the experience at Hansa. It's definitely a consideration for me in the future. Do you know, do they use rife there? It sounds as if their approach is comprehensive and focused on restoring health, so I was curious. Glad to hear you are sounding so positive about your experience there and I'm looking forward to hearing how you are doing as you make your way through the program.

They don't use a rife machine like the ones you see people talking about on Lyme forums. What they use is far more advanced and actually has four treatments in one machine. See below from the Hansa Center website:

ST-8 Lymphatic Drainage Machine

Combines four treatments in one machine: (1) Cold-gas photon therapy, which liquefies old gelatinous lymph fluid, (2) Rife-frequencies that sweep continuously from 1 hertz to lightwave frequencies, assisting the body in killing pathological microbes and restoring health and energy to the tissues, (3) Transdermal ozone provides increased oxygen to the tissues, enhancing every tissue function to achieve its best with maximum oxygen, and (4) a Scalar Wave generator enables the degenerated cells in the body to plump up and pull away from each other so that they can identify and communicate between each other.

When I was there recently (last week) my body had a bad infection in it, especially my sinuses. I got one treatment each day I was there (two days) and it cleared it right up. It's an amazing machine that I haven't been able to find here in OKC. Wish I could as it really works powerfully and is very effective in helping the body to kill off pathological microbes.

Thanks for your last post. That makes a lot of sense (Rife+Oxygen) and I have been thinking about getting a rife machine. I wish I could go there to give Hansa a try, but my son just started school, so it is out of reach, right now. I will see a LLMD on Spt 16. I am scared of abx, esp. heavy duty ones, since I see so many people relapsing, me included. I am trying to keep positive, as perhaps the reason the abx didn't work last time, is bec. I was never tested or treated for co-infections, which I appearantly have. I will found out more about my blood work tomorow, but I called in today and one or more coinfections along with lyme came +. I will have to do more research into the Rife option. I also read an article from a presentation a drs and one said his daughter had lyme, took abx, relapsed, then started oxygen therapy and something else (don't remember what) and got well, and even gave birth and her daughter does not have Lyme.

I hope we'll have some good news from Ashley soon!

Hello everyone,

Sorry, I have not posted anything in a few days. So I guess I am one of the few that has not had the instant success here at the HC. I have had 5 of the worst days I have had in at least a year. I talked to Dr. J about it and it could quite possible be a herx even though they are trying to detox me as much as possible. I actually thought I was ahead of the game and that the detoxing wouldn't be as rough on me because I had been doing the sauna, ion foot baths, epsom baths, dry brushing and an odamed machine before coming. I have been so tired to the point where its painful. I'm sure a lot of you know about this. A lot of the patients have said that they were tired the first week too but this is way worse than I could have expected. I have had a lot of pain in these past 5 days and I pray there will be some relief soon. Maybe it is a herx and its getting a die off that antibiotics couldn't even produce after 14 months. Who knows?? Either way I would appreciate the prayers for me out here. I am very nervous due to the fact that I thought it would be an only up hill battle from here and now I am worse than I have been in a really long time . Dr. J is brilliant so hopefully we can figure this all out. I wish you all the best and will try and update soon. Off to sleep!

Hi Ashlie. I always hope your experience there at Hansa is going well and am sad to hear that you are feeling so terrible. I do remember reading posts from others there who had a similar experience, so maybe it is a herx, as you suspect. I will continue to pray for you. I admire your courage for going there and hope you get a good night's sleep and will feel improved in the morning.

I am so sorry you are not doing well. But hang in there and give it a try. Lisa was not doing well in the beginning and in her last post, she was pleased with the overall results and she said she is doing much better now. We all want instant relief, and get discouraged by the set-backs, but it seems lots of patience and perseverence is what is needed.

Hi Ashlie,

Wanted to say hello and hang in there, I am thinking of you and wishing the best!  From the people I have known who have gone to Hansa, the first week is not easy at all which makes sense to me because the doctors concentrate on testing you so they can treat you specifically in order to target the areas that have been making you the sickest.   Sounds to me when you arrived there you had a HUGE toxin overload and eliminating the majority of those toxins will make you feel sick but I have a feeling that next week you will be feeling soooooo much better!

So hang in there and try to stay as positive as you can okay?

Good Morning Ashlie:

Thank you for sharing your update. So sorry you've been in pain and been tired your first week at the Hansa Center. What you share about "being ahead of the game" with the detoxing you've been doing at home does make sense. In light of the way you were feeling last week, it just may be very good that you did start the detoxing at home…otherwise, perhaps, you might have felt even worse. Pain and tiredness…that's a bummer :(

It can be disappointing when we have expectations and then they don't happen as we thought. Wish I were there to chat with you and give you a great big hug (a gentle one, of course).

Our bodies are so complex and uniquely made…we are all so totally different. Obviously, the way one person responds is probably not going to be exactly like anyone else. And just because you didn't feel better the first week, in my mind, doesn't mean the body--your body--isn't doing better and improving.

Gary and I, and many others, are praying for you. May this new week be a better week for you. May you notice changes for the healing better. May God give the doctors wisdom in the right approach and treatments just for you.

Keep your head up and think happy thoughts. May you be encouraged today and filled with hope. This is a new day and a new week filled with new possibilities for you precious Ashlie!
