This doesn't surprise me one bit but makes me very sad and extremely mad. The media coverage Lyme Disease gets constantly minimizing how horrific this disease can be is terrible...whatever happen to true investigative reporting? If the media would dig a a little deeper and report on all the scientific-based evidence available, I truly believe things would have to turn around.

Yes, it is been 30 yrs, it is a shame that media is not TRUTHFULLY reporting the facts--OR MAYBE would have a mass scare. I think that would be good, if I would have known what I know now, I would have been more careful, or I would have stayed out of the wooded and grass areas all together. What's sad is that more people will get infected bec of lack of info

I do the best I can with what I have and keep my mouth shut. i am luckier than most because my significant other not only accepts but helps me. Not to say it isn't a challenge Lol it is. I can not believe America is the greatest country in the world, it is not. To deny the best (within reason) medical coverage to ALL is unforgivable. I had my records sent but need to see if they really were sent need to do that maybe tomorrow. My daughter said once when she is rich and famous (she is an aspiring writer)
she will blow this sky high LOL. Isn't is interesting that randy travis is so silent? he looks like i do when I am sick i wish I could be one that "doesn't' look sick it'd suit me fine. And ain't I vain? : )

Randy Travis, the country music singer, has lyme. He looked pretty bad the couple of times i saw him on tv, gets that deputy dog saggy look which i get, He does give out lyme prevention phamplets (sp?) after his concerts but he is pretty quiet otherwise. hope all are having a nice day I have to wash my hair which is comparable to having dental work. It hurts the neck to bend it over the sink,

Yes, he has Lyme. Appeareantly, he has episodes of the symptoms sometimes on stage and his audience does not mind, they still go and see him. I don't remember what program he was on, maybe Fox news?

Anyway, what gets me really really mad, is that without proper treatement, we are looking at a new generation getting infected! I am confident that I will recover, as I made great progress on abx for the past 2 mo, and it only has been 2 mo, and I did not even address Bartonella, yet. I expect to feel better and better, once I will start Bart treatement. But this was soooooooooo unnecessary! If I would have been given the proper care 1 1/2 yrs ago when diagnosed, I would be cured!

I remember (I forgot all about this until a few days ago) that I had a rash on my head for a loooooooooooong time, 2+ months. It would not go away. That was 2 yrs ago. I NOW believe that is when I got bit! It was itchy and it was accummulating a lot of dandruff. I never got it checked out. It was on the back of my head, right above the hair line. This makes sense bec. I was in the woods around that time, on several occassions.


I am really glad I remembered this... It looked like a spider bite, by the time I discovered it. Was it a tick bite or a spider bite? I don't know! Question still remains: What the heck happened to me 8 yrs ago, when I thought I will die, when my feet were sore, my troat almost completely closed out etc? I DON'T know!
