Hi Hobo!!
Welcome to the Lyme Disease Forum!!! I'm sure you will find us to be a caring, helpful & understanding group!!!
I hate to be the bearer of unwanted news, but to me it sure looks like you are positive for LD.
Courtesy of our 'sticky' thread at the top of our fourm;
31 outer surface protein A (OspA), specific for Bb
34 outer surface protein B (OspB); specific for Bb
35 specific for Bb
37 specific for Bb
38 cross-reactive for Bb
39 is a major protein of Bb flagellin; specific for Bb
41 flagellin protein of all spirochetes; this is usually the first to appear after a Bb infection and is specific for all Borrellia
83 specific antigen for the Lyme bacterium, probably a cytoplasmic membrane
93 unknown, probably the same protein in band 83, just migrates differently in some patients
You can see for yourself here -
www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=1606610Band 41 is - from what I remember- is indicative of a spirochetal tail being found in the blood. So when a person test positive for band 41, there is little doubt that a person really has a spirochetal infection, since the tail of it can be found. I believe that there are only a small handful of forms on spirochetal infections that are known about
at this point in time.
See;
www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/560509/spirocheteIt also seems that Igenix is doubtful that you would be considered "CDC positive". Although everyone needs to be aware that the CDC even admits that LD need to be diagnosed based on symptoms, not blood tests!!
See;
www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/ld_humandisease_diagnosis.htmUnfortunately, you had the need for prednisone. Prednisone ot other steroids are known to 'push a tick-borne infection' deep into the tissues. Although, there is a possiblitiy that it may be harder for you body to rid itself of the infections, it is not impossible. Be sure to mention that you have been on steroids & what strength you were on to your LLMD.
I would heavily encourage you to seek out a LL medical practitioner right away. If you were to tell us the nearest big city that is close to you, hopefully we can recommend a LL doc for you??
Please read the thread at the top of the forum titled "New to Lyme?...Start here", you will learn a lot by reading through what has been posted there, by those who understand - us!! I would first of all suggest you start to detox right away (instructions in the New to Lyme? sticky), and do at least 1 daily dry-skin brushing to help the body to release these toxins, thus easing your symptoms.
I do hope this helps some!!
May you find peace along your journey to health!!
