How to interpret???
Test: Bb antibody screening test (blood drawn on 12/14; results given on 12/30)
Titer/Antibody: PRESENT/Value: 1.18
Positive >1.09
The above are, what I assume, taken from the ELISA results. This is on a CDC reporting form, she did not give him the actual ELISA test result.
--------------
WESTERN BLOT result, not in a form I expected: blood drawn on 1/3 - results obtained 1/14
Pages 2 and 3 of 7:
Lyme Ab/Western Blot Reflex
Lyme IgG/IgM Ab RESULT <0.91 paper criteria reads that NEGATIVE
Lyme Disease Ab, Quant, IgM RESULT: FLAGGED HIGH 1.13 - paper criteria POSITIVE >1.09 being POSITIVE
Under the heading
Lyme Ab, IgM, Interp., EIA Positive Abnormal
All IgG P93, P66, P58, P45,
P41, P39, P30, P28 P23
and P18 All are ABSENT under the Positive header
Lyme IgG WB Interp. - NEGATIVE
Lyme Ab IgM by WB
Igm P41 Ab, P39, P23 All are ABSENT under the Positive header
Lyme IgM WB Interp. NEGATIVE
POSITIVE: 5 of the following
Borrelia-specific bands: 18, 23, 28, 30, 39, 41, 45, 58, 66 and 93
NEGATIVE: No bands or banding patterns that do not meet positive criteria.
BASED ON THE CRITERIA ABOVE we are clueless

Lyme Ab/Western Blot Reflex
Lyme Disease Ab, Quant, IgM 1.13 result high/ Flag
Note: IgM levels may peak at 3-6 weeks post infection, then gradually decline. FDA currently advises that Western Blot testing be performed following all equivocal or positive EIA results. Final diagnosis should include appropriate clinical findings and a psitive EIA which is also psitive by Western Blot.
Lyme Ab IgM Interp., EIA Positive Abnormal

GP has referred hubby to an infectious disease specialist. I am concerned this doctor may not be lyme "friendly" - is this a step in the right direction or should I go looking for an LLMD right away now? Could this referral actually be an LLMD?
This Infec. Dis. specialist is in northern new jersey - if someone would like to PM me if they have compiled a list I would like to give you the doctor's name and see if the doctor is on the list. Thanks.
