Welcome to th forum! I'm not sure about having "mild Lyme" but I do believe that when it is caught early, your chances of getting well again are better. If it is caught early the usual time for treatment is "normally" six weeks or until all symtoms have subsided completely. I am not a doctor, so this also depends on what your LLMD thinks is best for you.

When were you diagnosed? Are you currently seeing a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD)?

I don't think a category of mild lyme exists; however, I think everybody is different in their response to infection for many reasons. Maybe one didn't get the most virulent strain when infected and was infected without co-infections, maybe it was caught before it disseminated or maybe one has a good strong immune system and or has some immunity from genetic inheritance!! It is my wish you fall under the mild lyme!! Lisa

I suspect I may have had 'mild' Lyme for some time, with mainly just fatigue, slight shortness of breath and stomach problems. My more recent extreme symptoms (incl. dizziness, pins and needles, shaking, low body temp etc) only appeared after being treated with steroids for my shortness of breath.

I have read that Lyme can sit in your system for years undetected until something else happens e.g. another illness or another tick bite or treatment with steroids. Perhaps this would be deemed 'mild' Lyme?

Of course, there are also different strains of Lyme, which cause different symptoms too. I gather, for instance, that people in the USA are more likely to have arthritis symptoms than those in Europe.
