Hi all,

I am thinking of buying this book..  Has great reviews.. Thinking of old baggage I may still be carrying..

Has anyone here read it?

Yes.

The author ignores the possiblity that illness can be caused by physical things only (independently of psychological/emotional issues) in many cases...e.g., if I'm stung by a bee on my hand, my hand is not hurting because of some emotional issue, it is hurting because there's a bee stinger stuck in my hand!

That said, I also believe that some people need this book's info to complete their healing journey.

Hi Razzle,

You and I are so very different..  When I was stung by bee's I didn't feel any pain (stinger and all).. Just like when I had a tooth extracted, I didn't want any numbing agents and the dentist was shocked but once again I felt no pain as he extracted the tooth, roots and all...

Where did I learn this from?  Probably my Dad as he was the same way..  Mind over matter was his motto..  He knew the power of the mind and used it in positive aspects in his life.. 

I believe the mind plays a huge role in every aspect in our lives..

And yet the stinger was still in the hand, and the toxins injected with the stinger were there causing tissue damage.....

No, I'm not a believer in mind-over-matter when there are physical causes that need to be addressed first.

I didn't think of the pain, my first thought was to remove the stinger with tweezers and put living clay on my hand to absorb the toxins..  

I guess I see the glass as half full...  To me life is all about choices and I prefer to choose the positive thoughts over the negatives..  Again, it's all about choices..  I don't think that I "may" end up in a hospital for if I thought that way I probably would as that thought gets put into my subconsious and will probably happen...  

Guess I'm an oddball!  LOL!

Yeah I'm with you Razzle. Pain is pain. I remember when I was 13 and had stomach issues and was told by doctors that it was all in my head, that I was talking myself into it. What a thing to tell a kid! However, I do believe that postiive thinking helps to calm the brain and perhaps heal the body faster. That being said, drugs are my favorite path to positive thinking. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should read the interview posted by the "one star" rater.  The author feels that holocaust victims basically were getting what they deserved and that it was karma pay backs. Wow!  Really?

Hi Denise,

I have not read this book. As you know I believe in the power of positive thought. One of the reviews from this book said, " I have been able to heal my life from past childhood issues, rape, parents, and drugs." I think that it is important to understand that emotional issues can cause much stress on the immune system and weaken it. So if we heal the emotional issue, some of the physical issues will also heal. Absolutely.

But sometimes we can heal the emotional issues and still have physical issues that remain. It is key to know that this does not mean we have failed to undue (or forgive) past events, and then to blame ourselves that we have failed because a physical issue still remains.

But I think it is great that you are looking at letting go of old baggage ( at least exploring it). That can only be a good thing!!

wow. that's rich. what about the Germans who did what they did? So who will they be in their next life to get what they deserve ??? no karma there??? I'm too sick to even do the karma thing. I'm having all I can handle living in THIS life and when it ends I will be fine with not coming back from the dead or being reborn for another round of God know's what. I just want to be best i can be in this life.

I used the power of thought and mind back in 1985 when I read the Tony Robbins Awaken the Giant Within. I had nothng and was sleeping on a friends couch in Queens,
I studied and got the little certification in hypnotherapy. I applied all the techniques and made my goal to make $500,000 a year. My earnings went from $7.50 an hour to within 5 yrs I did hit as high as $460,000. Here is how it happened........... I worked my ass off. Yes, when we put our minds to something we can do anything.
Then i did all the forgiveness healing retreats. I drummed, danced, tripped , starved, swung from a vine ..you name it I let go of it. And here is the thing we all have the same stuff so letting go is healing.

I was sick back then and got worse as the years went by and the whole time beating myself up for not being able to heal myself with my thoughts, actions, beliefs, speach and listening. For ME the worst part of this has been me being disappointed in myself for not being able to get past it and the shame of worrying that other people saw me as pathetic and hypochondriac. (I think they call that EGO and another thing to let go of)

The saddest news I ever heard about my own condition was last year when that tick borne doctor went down the laundry list of results from all that blood work. I knew this was worse than cancer. I knew there was a hellish treatment available but no insurance. No one ever wants to be told they have lyme plus all the other infections.
BUT that day hearing the report I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO CUT MYSLEF SOME SLACK AND REGAIN MY DIGNITY AFTER BEATING MYSELF UP ALL THOSE YEARS FOR BEING WEAK MINDED.

i bet i have this book somewhere in my house, I bet i bought it on one of those days after drinking a cappoccino feeling some activity. I was either feeling better or desperate and never opened it because I need to put what little energy I have into finding the solutions one at a time to having relief and maintaining a healthy mind which really can not happen without proper brain chemistry and function. This is not going away by lighting a candle and forgiving someone for running me over and then stealing my bike. (of course, that never happened)

Suicide is serious business in misunderstood lyme patients. We need to be able to give people solutions to fortifying their nervous systems and neurotransmitters and guts. Then we can move into this other type stuff which is valuable and empowering.

I really got a lot out of watching this Dr. Rau on you tube, Deejavue. I hope others tune into that. Especially those who are suffering with antibiotics and are chronic after so many years.

Hi all,

It's me the oddball, LOL!   I ordered this book for the reason that I have a fear of relationships (with guys) and I believe it's tied to my mother.   I married "safe" men who I knew could not hurt me and for the past 4 years I have had an on again/off again relationship with this guy I have been crazy about..  He even came to visit me for Christmas and we had a great time together..  Yet I am so fearful..   So yes, I want to explore deeper within myself..   I know I have old "hurts" that I want to address.. Hey, I figure I have nothing to lose by reading this book..

Jeanne, plenty of snow in Vermont!  Right now the roads are great and just driving and seeing the views takes my breath away as well as all the snow covered trees, so beautiful..  Yet I can't wait for spring to finally arrive so I can go trout fishing as there is so much trout here and all different kinds.. I really love it here!

Well, I'm cooking a split pea soup from scratch so time to stir the soup!  tongue

You are going to make me stir crazy if you start talking about fishing!!! Oohhhhh, how I long to start fishing again!!! It one of the few places I can really feel peace deep within me - so that I can more easily face life with Lyme & company!!
