When a moderator posts something on a thread "warning" or "suggesting" something to others, it is not to call someone out or pick on a specific person. Please don't take this to heart and please remember that we are sick too and we are volunteering our time, so that you all have a place to come to vent, get help, ask questions, etc. Without us volunteering our time, there would be no Lyme Disease Forum. Please remember that we have feelings too and we have our ups and downs just like you. We come on here very sick sometimes but we do it because we love helping others. Please try to be respectful to us as we are just trying to help everyone here. A year and a half ago, when I became a moderator, this forum was about to be shut down because of all the rudeness and disrespect that was going on. We took on alot becoming a moderator and it's not easy to correct someone and not make them upset. We have put our blood, sweat and tears into this forum and all we ask for is respect in return. As I said before, we have feelings too so please think before you type/reply.

Yes, I've noticed a few sharp words directed to people. Some folks hide behind the computer and say it because it's easier.

I sincerely appreciate what you do, I encourage you to press on! You're doing such an awesome job!

Here here. The mods and many of the "regular" people are wonderful and I absolutely understand the amount of time and effort put in. If I've done or written anything out of turn, I would totally respect being told that it was against the terms of service or something or other like that.

Very many of us, those of you dealing with lyme yourselves, and those of us dealing with lyme in others, are in a heightened sense of alarm -- I know I was when I first found this site and didn't know exactly where to turn.

I'm grateful for this site and all of your assistance, information, words of wisdom and words of comfort.

Hey guys, thanks but this was not exactly "just" for me. Traveler is working very hard as well and everyone needs to remember that she is new to this. She is putting her healing on the side to help others and I just want everyone to realise that.

CajunGrl and Traveler, Thank you for saying that. As someone who is overly sensitive, especially when I'm not feeling well, it's easy to read too much into things or take things too personally. I'm sure that many others are the same. It's important to remember that we're in this together and that this is a place to find and give support, comfort and advise. Denail

Thanks to all who share kind words for both CajunGrl & myself!

Just to make it clear on my part - i don't insinuate. If a comment is directed at a particular person, they will know it. I am as straight forward as my mind will allow me to be, so if I have something to say to a member directly, I will most likely contact them in a personal email. This does not ever mean automatically that a member has disobeyed a rule or is 'in trouble', I just feel the need to speak to you.

Cajun has done an incredible job here!!! She has made this such a friendly place to be. She has truly set the bar high for mods who come along after her!

Only two Moderators here on the Lyme Disease Forum--CajunGrl and Traveler. It's amazing all you two volunteers do. I appreciate you and thank you for all of your time, research, and responses.

Thanks to the both of you for taking this on! I cannot imagine being responsible for keeping track of ANYTHING right now, let alone info and guidance for so many of us on a VERY complicated subject. Some days I can't even look across the room at my computer!


I lurked around many forums and took to this one like a duck to water. And it was mainly due to the helpful responses from LOTS of people, but I was always impressed with the moderators here. They have a good way of giving info.

Since I'm not on the forum as much as I used to be or would like to be, I must've missed something since this posting surprised me. I can't imagine being critical or picking a fight on here although I'm always good at posting my opinion or my experience!! In my eyes, our moderators are like Mary Poppins "Practically Perfect in Every Way", and I always look forward to anything they have to say. We're all in the same boat so we might as well all row instead of trying to drill holes...... Thank you Cajun Girl and Traveler for your time and effort. Please correct me anytime you want!

It seems that both Moderators have a huge amount of knowledge and experience of Lyme, and I think it is a good thing to have people on here who are able to post warnings or suggestions with such a background. C and T both seem great moderators, and we do need people here who will ensure the right info is being posted. Health forums can be a good thing or a dangerous thing depending how they are manged, and these seems to be the best Lyme forum on the web!
