Started my doxy today

Can anyone tell me how they felt the first day of taking there abx cos I feel a bit spaced out an my head feels like it's spinning an was just wondering if this was normal, an also what are all the things you go through when u start herxin an how long does this period last.

Everyone herxes differently and every single hex is different at least for me. I have felt lightheaded upon starting a new med, give it a couple of days. Today I am a few days into a new antibiotic and even though I have been on other ones for a long time and this one before, I still feel lousy with heart palps and just took a nap. The only good thing is that for me I least I feel like I know its doing something. Just remember to detox, it makes ALOT of difference. Good luck!

My husband felt sick on the 4th day, by sick I mean extreme exhaustion and fatigue and stayed home from work and slept 14 more hours past the time he would have left the house for work. On rising, he ate a little bit of soup and a cup of tea and went back to bed. Fortunately (?) this occurred on a Friday and he had the entire weekend to relax as best he could. Detoxing baths did help him.

By day 3 I was sick as a dog, and that was only at 100mg bid. It lasted 2 weeks.

When I upped my dose to 200mg bid though...I was ok. Very mild herx.

I can't explain it, but I agree everyone is different. I recommend the detox baths too. I would get in and cry bc they felt so good and I felt so bad, lol.

After my initial 2wks though, I never felt that sick again. In fact, I was getting progressively better until the side effects did me in.
