anybody ever try low dose naloxotrene/  the spelling is probably off i guessed i read and heard its good for autoimmune diseases inc lyme.

I just started it a few days ago, and so far haven't noticed anything different yet...

I am on it :)

I started in December(I think) at 1.5mg and am now on 4.5mg which is the max dose. It does not work for everyone, and I believe it starts to work slower in people with Lyme. It took about 2-3 mo. before I felt something and I cannot describe what changed, except to say I feel *better* not perfect or cured, but more normal. My symptoms are still there, but much less severe, and I feel like I am in front of my symptoms, instead of the other way around...if that makes sense.

I notice a subtle difference with LDN. It's not dramatic, but I do feel a bit better while on it. And it took over a month to feel better.

I have tried it before for my UC it didn't help but my mood was better, since then I've been dx with Lyme's and will start LDN tomorrow night. I hope to see results since I've been taking antibiotics for my Lyme's for over a year now and my gut is in a better position now to absorb the medication. Good luck to all of us!

My doc tried low dose Naltrexone with me, because I'm so sensitive to everything -- i.e., I tend to have a negative reaction to supplements that I try. So, he tried LDN with me as a way to help me be less reactive and more able to tolerate other supplements/treatments. It worked well for about a week or so -- I was dramatically less reactive. ...but then I began to react to the LDN itself, and I had to stop it. It seems my experience with/reactivity to it is a rather unusual one, so hopefully you'll have better success. If I just hand't reacted to the LDN itself it would have been a *great* thing for me.

I took it for many months. Didn't notice any help. Stopped it and didn't notice any difference at all. Which makes me think it did nothing.

Everyone one is different though. Burrascano recommended it. If your insurance pays for it, give it a try.

What symptoms did you have from the LDN that suggested to your doctor that you were reacting to the LDN itself?

Everyone else who's tried LDN:

Have any of you experienced a sore throat within a few days of starting the LDN?
