Don't know how much more of these heart palps I can take?!

Guess I'm going to have to call the dr. tomorrow.  I have tried everything. Detox, no exercise, limiting what I'm eating, aspirin, and still they are coming every other day and getting worse.  I know I have had them before but don't remember the shortness of breath and lightheadedness before.  I am worried about afib but hate like heck to go to ER as once I tell them what meds I'm on, god knows what will happen.  This ER told me twice my problem was anxiety with high CRP, platelets and D dimer 4 years ago!  Any advice.

during a die-off reaction (Herx) from Rifampin, I had major heart palpitations and heart rate over 115 for about 6 hours. I started worrying at the 6 hour mark and decided to go to the ER. They did an EKG, which showed some PAC's, premature atrial contractions, but not enough to worry about. They sent me home after 2 liters of fluid and low blood pressure. They couldn't give me any meds to lower my heart rate, because they also lower blood pressure.

2 days later I asked my LLMD what I could do at home if that happened again. She gave me Bi-Carb Formula (sodium & potassium bicarbonate) from Klaire labs, to take.

BUT.......if you have been diagnosed with A-fib, you have to take that seriously. An increased heart rate for a long time makes the affects of A-fib worse. Making a higher chance of clots to form in the atria. IF you do have A-fib, you should be seeing a cardiologist at least every 6 months while on Lyme treatment. I only have a murmur with PAC's and I see a cardio every 12 months. If you take or have taken Cipro, you should really go!!

No I don't have a fib and yes I've been taking magnesium which has helped with constipation but not palps. Gonna call LLMD in the morning and see what she says. Thanks everyone!

One other thing. Do you have any pressure in your head at all? I remember back when I had heart pap and head pressure Dr. J said I was full of ammonia (toxins). He put me on Neuro-Antitox ll for this and it cleared up my heart paps within a week. Just wondering if that might be the cause?

Thanks so much everyone. The heart palps turned off like a switch at about 10 last night. Left me with aching chest. Have call into dr. I do take coq10 and fish oil occasionally. I take so many pills sometimes it gets rough on my stomach so I don't take everything everyday. Probably should. I'm sure probably toxin buildup but never fails it comes when I am eating my healthiest, exercising and detoxing. Go figure.

Being low in potassium can also cause heart palps. Here's an easy recipe to fix potassium levels quickly (use organic veggies when possible; peel any non-organic veggies):

2-3 potatoes, scrubbed, cut into 1 inch chunks
2-3 carrots, scrubbed, cut into 1 inch chunks
2-3 stalks celery, cut into 1 inch chunks
1 bunch fresh parsley, washed and de-stemmed
1 tomato, washed and de-stemmed, cut into 1 inch chunks
1 small onion, peeled, diced (1/4 - 1/2 inch cubes) <--optional

Place the above into a large soup pot and add water until the water level is about 1 inch from the top of the pan. Cover & bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until veggies are tender, usually takes about 30 minutes.

The broth is very rich in potassium. You may also eat the veggies, or strain them out and freeze them to use later in other recipes (such as stew or other soups). Sip at least 1 cup of the broth 2-3 times/day. Broth should store in refrigerator in a glass jar for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for longer storage.

I do not think the broth from this recipe would feed yeast all that much.

I ended up at the ER with Afib and was admited to the hospital because my heart rate was out of control...
jumping in between 60 to 145... ER could not get my heart rate to get to regular and I was admitted to the hospital. By evening, my hear rate was stable, but they still kept me and monitored me.

I talked to my LLMD about it and he said that I probably overdid with detox that triggered the event.
Now I am on daily meds to prevent it. Blood pressure is very low...

I do not know how to keep up with my treatment with herbs...

Afib is scarry..... comes when you do not expect it.....
so, be careful with your detox routine...

BTW, while at the hospital, doctors were asking what medicines or supplements I was taking...
I told them that I used to be on doxycycline and now transitioned to herbal protocol to treat lyme and co-infection...
One of the doctors told me:" I do not like people to be treated with herbs..."

Also, I went to see a rheumatolologist yesterday for a follow-up appt on my joints issue...and to see updated blood work results for any auto-immune diseases.

I told her about my treatment with herbs and then... I've hear a lecture about how some doctors treat patients and put them in risk....
I've heard it all before....
