Even *overdo it* is different depending on who you ask...
I have always exercised whenever I can. I am an ultra marathoner which means that there are times I am running 60+ miles a week. Then, there are weeks on end that I simply cannot run at all...and everything in between.
I believe aerobic exercise helps. If oxygenating one's system is a good thing, as the bacteria do not like oxygen, well what better way than to do something aerobic! (If you are able, of course.) I have to go by how I feel, but when I feel acceptable, I go out and run because that alone can make me feel better.
I also have been a runner longer than I have had Lyme (though not by a whole lot...) I also beieve that those who were regular exercisers or athletes prior to having Lyme will be much more abe to exercise while they are healing. FOr someone who has never done much exercise, to expect them to start an exercise program while trying to deal with Lyme...not such a great idea, imo, as their body doesn't *know* that experience...if that makes sense...
Of course, walking is always a good thing, for however long one is able, when they are able. Its just nice to be outside and move... :)
