If you have noticed this happening on HealingWell, it is not actually HealingWell causing it. You probably have spam or malware on your computer so the best thing to do is download a free version program to get rid of it.
www.SuperAntiSpyware.com is what I use. It has a free version that you can download. It is very easy to use as well. When these scanners pop up and tell you that you are infected, do not click on it. Try to get off of that page or close it out completely or the scanner will be download on your computer. It is probably some kind of virus. Always make sure too that you have virus protection on your computer and that it is updated.
Here is an explanation of what is going on if you see your system catching a virus or spyware when you come to HealingWell:
If a members security system says something is wrong (and it's not the threat itself pretending to be a security program) then there probably is something wrong. However, we have no idea how everyone has their system setup or what sites they may have visited. These things can be activated/identified days or months after they arrive on your machine, they can be associated with a particular ad or graphic, they can hide in almost any place you can think of.
Professional host services, like the one where Healing Well lives, run very aggressive security systems all the time - so it is very unlikely that it is HW itself, but problems can arise with any link, any ad, any members homepage, etc that is hooked/linked to HW.
I hope that answers your question. (Also, if HW was the source of the problem...well, we have 99599 registered users so we'd be getting many many more reports than we do!!!)
