This link may tell you something of interest:

Interesting if I am reading that right Amox is much more effective than Doxy? Yet it doesn't seem to many people use Amox?

I went to a LLMD for the first time last week. He said he thinks it's likely I have Lyme or another tick-borne illness. He gave me Zithromax for 2 weeks, then I add Ceftin and take both. I was surprised he didn't go with Doxy since I thought it was the gold standard antibiotic. I would also be interested in any information anyone has on Zithromax.

I had pretty good success in the past with Zithromax. This was back in 2007 when it was like a million dollars for Zithro. The antibiotics I typically do best on are Zithromax or Doxycycline.

Actually in the past I only tested positive for Lyme but that's no reason to rule out coinfections. I've read that tests don't always detect them. Zithromax worked well for lyme when I couldn't take doxycycline under the hot summer sun.

zithro is used for other coinfections as well, mycoplasma, bart, and babs. It is combined a lot with other drugs.
I'm very sensitive to it, and can only do small amounts.
