If you have not ordered this DVd yet, you should. It is a great teacher at explaining to family/friends, what is going on with you and your body. I remember when my husband fisrt watched this, he had tears in his eyes. He didn't really understand what was going on until he watch this DVD. It also has great information as well and medications that were used.

Just this weekend I noticed that my daughter and son-in-law were being particularly caring of me. They were making a point of doing things for me, taking the work out of my hands and generally making sure I was all right. Now they are always sweet and kind to me, but this was noticeably more. Then my son-in-law mentioned that they had just watched the movie, "Under Our Skin". He said that it really helped them get a handle on what I have been going through during my three years of treatment.

They watched it because it was a good movie and had great reviews as well as because the disease has touched our family (Did I say touched? Crashed into and exploded spreading shrapnel all over the place, more like!). I didn't suggest it to them because I thought they wouldn't be able to take it. Silly me. The information about the nature of the disease and what it takes to get through it would have helped them a lot.

Tell everyone to watch it!

I bought it and let all the people I know who want to watch it borrow it. I mentioned it to my PCP and she said she wanted to watch it because she knows nothing about lyme!! She is eager to learn. Because of this forum I have been able to give her some great info. You guys are great!!
