Doctors are becoming aware

So my 2 year old grandson presented with a classic bullseye rash on his knee. I told my daughter to insist on treatment over testing etc. She went to the pediatrician ready for a fight. The doc took one look and started writing out a script -- turns out her own son has had five bites. She didn't need to be persuaded!

What a relief.

My friend had a tick embedded and a small hard red ring with a dark center. Dr. prescribed 3 days of antibiotics when a negative lyme test came back.

I have been bounced around and left to rot by some Dr.s. I have an issue with my first RA. He diagnosed me with RA based on clinical reasons. I just spent 5 years trying to get a Dr. GP to listen to me and get some help that this is not in my head. I do not want to take pain killers anymore! When I was Diangnosed with RA I was put on some imuno suppressing drugs. I was told after that if things did not improve we could try some newer more expensive drugs that would help. Just before the 5 months was up in November I stoped the meds they did not feel like they were doing the right things. Breathing was heavy laboured when I exerted myself, dizzy spells (thought I would pass out( and my heart rate would climb and dive and many palpatations. When I seen him in January (wife present) he tells me with out any futher tests to return to the meds or I will not qualify for the next round. So I did. The "side effects" returned, but worse till one night i had a seizure and ended up in a stoke unit. Two Cat scans, MRI, and countless blood work. You guessed it nothing. Ever since that episoide my health has continued to slip and faster. My spine since that episoide has deteriorated. Futhering my cause I looked into Lyme. It was like reading my own journal. I am pushing for this because I do not have time left, I feel that the toxic over load they just cant seem to identify is taking over. The symptoms have all become present all the time now. In resarching my cause I found some thing more than a little alarming. PEOPLE SUSPECTED OF LYME SHOULD NEVER EVER TAKE IMMUNO SUPPRESSING MEDICATION, MAY CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE. I am looking for anyone else who may have had something like this.

You will want to find an ILADS(International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is a great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.
