Tests for Lyme and other tick-borne infections (TBI's) is extremely unreliable still and the ELISA is one of the most unreliable tests.

If you haven't already, it would be beneficial for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled, "New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of relevant information and informative links that have been put together by our members here! We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts.

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor, as opposed to an Infectious Disease doctor - the treatment that they use is not based on scientific evidence, but mainly on "expert opinion" - go figure. I'm seeing an LLMD in Bridgeport CT who seems pretty good. I also see a pair of naturopathic doctors in Guilford, CT who I really like and who have been quite helpful (they do herbal remedies and RIFE as treatment). Feel free to send me a message if you want contact info for either/both of them.
