Does this sound right?

Hi, we are new to this and am feeling somewhat confused. I have an 8 yo daughter that on May 16 I pulled a deer tick off of. On May 22 I pulled a dog tick out of her armpit. It was this bite which gave us not quite a bullseye but 1/2 a bulls eye which faded after 2-3 days. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of it. Within 3 days she was complaining of flu like symptoms..coincidence? The doctor said he didn't think it was anything. Now today, June 17 I took her to the MD again.. c/o leg cramps (she is walking like she is uncomfortable) swollen lymph nodes in her neck and swollen lymph node in her r groin area. He does not think it is lymes disease but a random virus. Don't know if I am being paranoid, but am looking for help from someone who has been there. Our doc did send us for an elisa test. Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

The common consensus is that i should look for a new doc..I live in north eastern maryland..near delaware. I have found a Dr. B..he seems to be what people refer to as a LLMD. If anyone has any other Docs in the Baltimore/Philadelphia area I would appreciate their names. Why is it so difficult to get meds for this problem? Am I too late to get abx for her? Thanks

May I suggest you take a picture of the rash, and keep a daily log of her symptoms. To help you understand why it is difficult to get a DX of Lyme disease, please read the sticky at he top of our main page called "New to Lyme......start here". Also if you have a NETFLIX account you need to see the documentary Under Our Skin to better understand why it is difficult to get a DX and ABX for this disease.

Keeping a daily log is a fantasic advice. I still keep one for myself 5+ years later. This disease is just so bizarre it can bring something every day and there is no way you will remember everything. My son just presented with 2 bullseye rashes and we don't know when he was bit. Due to the severity of my disease, I am headed right to a pediatric specialist no matter how far or wide I have to go. Please get your daughter help immediately. Research and read this board. You do not want to make the mistake the waiting. There is no going back. Best to you and your family.
