Herxing on Bartonella Herbs

 

3rd day and already succumbed to the ER.

Only my 10 or 15th time in 2 years since I became acute

and only recently was it discovered.

Cannot take a deep breath for 10 days thanks to the humidity

and have had to use an inhaler first time all year

which of course my heart was not happy about.

I have such severe GERD and constant belching that I cannot

take a deep breath without belching.

My asthma attacks seem to be precipitated by this...

but all I know is even if I'm not wheezing I feel my chest is closing and the inhaler helps.

None of the docs have so far.

So constant sob and anxiety from morning till night...

all I started was a detox herbal formula and did the bartonella herbal remedy once.

Hard to eat and drink and protein and plain water are especially hard.

Was given Zofran in the hospital tonight and it did nothing.

I literally want a new body. I see this is just the beginning.

After taking the detox stuff for the third day had an uncontrollable

urge to shake my entire body and scream into a pillow of course.

I thought I would lose control like when I had a convulsion after being

given a steroid for adrenal issues...which of course I will never touch again after only one dose.

I know you all are suffering greatly out there and many worse off...

just want to know if anyone has experienced this.

Just reading that would help me so much right now.

I'm not a medication person as you can tell but I would like to know if

anyone has tried the old fashioned form of maaloxx (sucralfate was given

by ER doc) to coat the stomach

during a bartonella herx just to be able to eat and breathe at the same time.

Gas pills do not work. Been doing dandelion tea and cammomile and they

help a little but have not solved the problem. Acupuncture helps alot

but in a weakened state it's hard to get there.

Oh God I would like to be done with this already...

i'm stuck in my house all summer and it's miserable...surviving by the hour...

would love to chat with anyone who feels similarly...

 ok thanks so much to both of u....im still having an impossible time with my stomach...

constant belching after drinking water morning to night and anything I eat seems to aggravate...living on echinacea, chammmomile teas, prevacid, tums and tried maalox extra strength over the counter but doesn't seem to help...will try again thank you...

ur right the one they gave me in the hosp must have been laced with lidocaine...

it's gotten to the point so bad that i feeel like i cant breathe during these half hour to 2 hour episodes of belching that I have gone into full asthma and now have a nebulizer

a week on prevacid does nothing

the last time I had this I was treating lyme before I knew I had it

and the endoscopy in hospital only said

worst part is it feels like an arrythmia attached to it

and my gp will not see me for a few weeks

and they never listen

and LLMD is of course on vaca...MOm and I are spinning our tails

just grateful for the food I can eat...

best part of the time is when my sugar drops to 70 during and I can't eat anything...and

my face turns numb...oh fun...

well...feeling very depressed right now...

who saved me last time...but who is a far distance from my home...

Thanks for the link.  I have a mitral valve prolapse, partial right bundle branch block, and pericardial effusion.  Good to know there's hope for improvement.

Lymester and Lyme14...I have been thinking deeply
as I ride the all day long rollercoaster that it is my heart.
Of course my pcp is impossible to get an appt with
and I have to wait to mid july and have been trying for a year
with my other pcp to get a cardiology referral.
Hopefully this one will but when I was in the ER recently...
I assumed that they would rule out my heart that it was on monitors...
it feels like I have an arrythmia of sorts.
My bp goes up and down like crazy it seems...have been taking it at home
and get short of breath after urninating daily.
Have told my LLMD this and am not even getting a return phonecall...
i'm thinking too that the dysautonomia is affecting my heart and
that is making me need to eat every 2 hours daily...
Also my D-Dimer was normal in the hospital but interestingly
I had these exact heart symptoms with worsening hypoglycemia, episodes of
seeming asthma without wheezing and shortness of breath after urinating
also during last summer's weather and I am still stuck in the house 95 percent of the time
in the last month and it's weighing on me as I'm sure you all understand...
having gone through that at some point.

I do agree seekingbalance that my candida issues are at their peak this time
of year but I had to stop my bartonella/herbal lyme protocol because my shortness
of breath was so bad initially that I was convinced it was asthma and ran to ER and to
pcp to get my nebulizer for the first time. Increased antifungals and added silver biotics
and already 2 days free of nebulizer but still feel tortured all day long with shortness
of breath after eating and belching for hours and h ard to drink plain water.
Thank God I"m able to prevent dehydration between meals.

I am off the couch for the first time all day and that's because the temp dropped. lol.

I am also truly cognizant of the gallbladder possibility.
Couldn't get a sonogram in the hospital
and I get strange pains in that area and started
castor oil packs on the area but eating still feels impossible...

I just want to keep from letting severe depression set in
as I plan my next steps.
I do not know if I can tolerate the program again and of course my llmd is on vaca
and having been in the hosp wasn't enough to get a call back...and yet he is the best
dr ever had and is afraid that im too weak for iv antibiotics...
so I'm layin off the herbal program we had agreed on until he comes back
because I think severe liver herx could have also set me off into this
shortness of breathe///digestive tailspin.

I truly appreciate all your comments and am so glad to have
joined up with some like minds and to share the experiences.

my LLMD just suggested dysautonomia
but getting to see him while this sick is the biggest challenge...

my platelets were low 2 yrs ago
and d dimer normal

but back in the er last night for chest pain
and constriction after urination
they were so nice they refused to do any testing at all
and told me not to see my llmd of course I disagree...
I told the ER dr to see "under our skin"the film
and he agreed as long as I would go to his primary care dr
to which I agreed.
but I felt like I was making strides...

apparently summertime is worst for dysautonomia...
I just want it to gooo awayyyyy.

hi all, im a newbie but i have a question regarding herxing on herbs. i recently bought turmeric, garlic capsules, and B12 to start taking. a day or 2 after starting them and i feel the worst ive ever felt! could any of this have caused a herx? in the past two days i also had an acupuncture treatment that i moved during and caused intense burning sensations, and quit taking an SSRI that i had tried to take for 4 days but felt awful on. just trying to figure out would could have caused the sudden blast of neuro symptoms and burning sensations! thanks!

Just checking in for the first time in a few weeks.

Was hospitalized for the first week in August with exacerbated asthma

after my Father demanded I be treated for Lyme with my insurance covered drs.

whom my LLMD is of course not covered under and couldn't back me up with the infectious disease drs in the hospital.

They drugged me up with Solu Medrol and am still weaning at home 2 weeks later.

Thankfully LLMD still supportive and I'm doing herbs for Bart at home because the antibiotic they gave me in hospital was for "bronchitis" that set off the asthma with severe gerd which they didn't even think I had because my lungs sounded clear...and of course by 3rd day on IV avelox I thought I was dying...so we decided to start the herbs as a way of starting to give me a chance for the first time in a decade to fight it off...

am already able to eat more.

Still stuck in the house with "asthma" and glad the heat is starting to die down...

though it is better with the nebulizers I know that brings on the LYme...

I have only one family member support and a long road ahead...

Dr's won't give me antibiotics and out of pocket just isnt' possible...

getting depressed and hard to do anything at all...sleeping days and nights

and praying for release from what feels like a prison...

the fight is making hypoglycemia worse which I know is sign of my already low adrenal function....what's great is that they don't help you until you are near collapse/

ok...will try to be more positive tomorrow...

Not giving up...let's keep fighting the good fight...

Had a lot of stomach issues even before I was diagnosed with lyme and bart. Try this, it has worked for me. First thing in the morning the juice of a fresh squeezed lemon. If it hurts too much dilute it with a little water. Drink the water only if it hurts bad though. Next morning 2 lemon. Next 3. next 4. Go up to ten. Stay on ten every morning. Don't eat or drink for a half an hour after drinking the lemon. I think it changes the ph of the stomach. Sounds horrible, but it worked for me. LMK how it works.
