okay, I jnow I think all the pros/cons of ibuprofen - I have never had a problem with it in the past when I used it very rarely for muscle or joint aches (not Lyme-related, more running related). Yesterday, I had a Board meeting at the University - I am Chairman of the Board for the History Libraries - so I had to lead a meeting of VIPs and the like. Note, I am only saying this because I was SCARED as HECK having to "perform" in front of such an audience when I have all these crazy Lyme symptoms. This is something I could noramlly do blind-folded but, this Lyme as rattled me to the core of my confidence at times.
Anyway, somehow I get through it okay (lasted at 2.5 hours) but by the time I was finished, it was like my brain was worn to a frazzle and and dthe dizzy, spaced-out feelings were up in full-force. I came home, laid on the couch and put a cool rag on my head and it helped somewhat. But - and here's the subject of this comment - I decided to take two ibuprofen capsules. I think it was the cool rag on my head that correlated to a headached (which I did NOT have) that had me do this. Anyway, within about 45 minutes, my extreme level of symptoms had calmed down a LOT - noticeably and effectively.
Has anyone else use ibuprofen to any success for neuro-Lyme symptoms? It seemed too connected to have been a coincidence of taking the ibuprofen and the symptom level drop-off...
