Headache for 6 weeks!

 Help!

Does anyone get severe headaches (pressure in the back of head

and neck?)  I have had one for approx. 6 weeks it comes and goes

mostly comes. When its really bad and it doesn't  take much. It comes

around the bottom of my ears and into my jaw. If I sit down and

do very little it will calm down but the minuite I get up and start

doing anything it comes right back. When it's  bad I get really

dizzy and then nauseated. I had this headache about 5-6 years

ago in fact it was one of my first symptoms ( after the flu like

symptoms) I had a MRI shortly before the first time and there

was nothing. My MD thought it was tension headaches . I end

up with a sore stiff neck . At times the pain will actually make

the muscles in the upper part of my back sore. If I alternate heat

and ice it helps it to settle down enough to tolerate it. It almost

feels inflamed but I have no temp. I went to an ENT twice because

of the pressure in my ears but he says there is nothing wrong with

my ears.

Yes unfortunately it is a very common symptom. People used to think I was nuts when I said I had a headache for 3 years but I wasn't kidding or nuts. Now, I rarely ever have one. Try rest and relaxation and also magnesium as it is a muscle relaxer. Remember to detox also. Hope you get some relief.

You could have a TMJ disorder. However, some Lyme symptoms and TMJ symptoms overlap so I'd check with a Doc.

Hi Bri, I know what you must go through from time to time. Then you realise where the expression: "splitting headache" comes from.

I have noticed that radiation could sometimes start the headache. From a Dect telefone, a mobile phone or a WiFi set. Make sure there is not such a device in your surrounding cause it can have a really bad impact on sensitive people.

Important also to have your blood checked to see if anything there is out of range.

Otherwise a bad tooth electricity can be the culprit. If you have different metals and mercury fillings in the mouth this can also be the reason. But of course The Lyme & co. could do this all by itself.

Hang in there and trust that once you have found the reason, it will go away again.

I lived for years with what you described - very accurate description by the way- and suffered greatly as well. I couldn't get a positive on any of the Lyme tests (before anyone knew about Igenix), so I just went round after round with Western Medicine docs!

I haven't had any teeth in my head for years now (thanks to Lyme), so I know mine wasn't from anything other than the tick-borne infections that I carry. There are some very good suggestions given here. For me, I discovered that I needed to be careful about how much time I spent on a land-line phone, a cell phone, around a microwave, heating pads, heating blankets....essentially all "electrical things". This didn't stop those symptoms, but it did eliminate a trigger or even a source for making my symptoms worse.

The detoxing helped a lot. Staying well hydrated with lemon water, seemed to always help as well, plus of course, as you already pointed out, rest!!

You really do need to follow through with getting tested and seeing a LLMD. Have you located a LLMD yet? IF not, please start searching right away. Some are so busy that it can take 2 or 3 months to get in!
