and gotten IC? 

LLMD thinks I have Lyme and Bartonella....not Babs. The awful pain in my lower abdomin has morphed into and IC feeling since I started Omniceff and Levquin. Very painful and annoying by I am hoping it's the bugs being killed off.

Try Dr. Zhang's protocol for the Bart. It helped me

What did you exact take from the herbal treatment of dr. Zhang for Bartonella and for how long? Also other meds? No relapses?

In the Netherlands doctors do not take Bartonella serious.

I greatly appreciate your help!!!

I am so sorry that you have a need to be here, but I am glad you found us!! I am also sorry that you are dealing with Bartonella! What other Tick-borne infections do/did you have?

This thread is several years old, those members are no longer active members. I would suggest you start a new thread with your question and use our search function (found at the top of the page in the blue bar with "Log Off" and "My Profile" in it).

Can anyone help me with a link to Dr. Zhang's protocol for Bart? I never had much success treating it well with ABX. I always ended up getting the rare side effects and had to stop taking them...

I went looking for his Bartonella treatment protocol online, but got side tracked, as there isn't a whole lot of info. I hope you have better success...of course you could do what I have failed to do...buy his book.

I'm intrigued by this post. I was taking zithromax and Plaquinil and had the exact same ic symptoms as you. I thought it was the medication so I stopped taking it.

How do you know it's Bart and not medication side effects.

I went to urgent care this weekend because I was/am so uncomfortable but tested negative for a UTI.

Bart or side effects?

Hi All,

I have just been diagnosed, my naturopath has me on A-Bart, I have had to back off to half a drop morning and night, cause I felt so bad. Will try taking one drop in a couple of days. I have heard that most antibiotics are not effective and from reading the new to lyme discussion on here , seems that it is difficult to nail down which is the best treatment. Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi PB,

Welcome to the forum. So glad you have a diagnosis and are getting treatment that is already having an effect.

There are many members on this forum who have gotten good results from antibiotics. And there are many others who have found relief from natural medicines and other protocols. There is no one treatment that suits everybody.

The best approach is to find a doctor or practitioner you have confidence in and follow their course of treatment. And then keep an open mind because you may have to switch treatment approach if that doesn't work.

Keep researching!

Thank you so much for replying. I am willing to integrate my treatment. I'm wondering if you have heard of folks still being able to maintain a relatively "normal" daily routine during their treatment? I imagine like any of this , it varies. Do you know of any definitive blood tests for Bartonella? Thank you again for reply and for this forum!

Like you said, it varies. Some people are highly functioning, others totally disabled.

Most LLMDs trust Igenex lab for co-infection tests but, of course, rely on clinical diagnosis.

Has anyone had success with Antibiotics for Bartonella ? If so which ones and how long have you felt better from Antibiotics?
