1. Vision Problems

For those of you with Lyme can you please share with me your visual disturbances, if any? Mine are as follows (I do not have a Lyme diagnosis):

- LOTS of floaters

- "Sparkly" vision (short silvery lines that swim in and out of my vision or zip around)

- Wavy Lines (or looks lke thin, short pieces of hair that float across my vision)

- Dots, spots, specks, sparks that swim in and out of my vision or create flashes

- Palinopsia (aka trails / afterimages)

- Blurred / decreased vision

- Visual Snow (static in my vision especially at night)

- Blobs of light that appear suddenly in my vision

There are more I am getting lazy sorry and its really depressing for me....

2. PLEASE - I need a very knowledgeable Lyme person

I am at my wits end .... I feel like giving up altogether and I am desperately calling for help (not many ppl I can turn to and sadly not even doctors are listening so I am depending on someone in this group. please).  I am losing my life I feel and I just want to talk to someone who can listen to my story from start to end and give me their opinion.  I absolutely understand that I am not getting a doctor opinion / diagnosis ... i just want what you think ..... I am hoping to talk to someone over the phone because phone is easier for me -- I can go through my history with regards to symptoms / test results / western blot results, etc ....... Is there anyone out there that is willing to listen / provide opinions ...... My mind/body cant take this anymore .....

my vision problems were mostly light sensitivity. if there was something bright in my field of vision... it would take over my entire eye and make everything else sort of disappear. idk if that makes sense but yeah... that's the best i can describe it. Driving at night got really difficult because the headlights would pretty much make me go blind.

Lymester --- Did you have trails / afterimages otherwise known as Palinopsia?!? And, if you did yours went away????

yes thats exactly how i feel each and everyday -- however im not sure if you are familiar with the VS forums out there but there are a lot of ppl with VS / Trails that do not have Lyme Disease .... So its so hard for me to accept, my symptoms:

Visual disturbances as noted above
Severe Vertigo / dizziness / off balance (Probably my worst symptom - I cant even go out anywhere anymore I feel bc Im so offbalance I feel like Im tilting over I cant stand straight...Im always leaning against things - its awful :(
Bouts of fatigue
Constant clearing of throat and unexplained throat infections
Constantly congested
Sitffness/achy shoulder - mostly left shoulder but sometimes both
random pains / aches in joints / muscles
chest pains
anxiety

** Oh and headaches and heart arrythmia like palpitations/tachycardia episodes.......

Pls tell me does it even sound like Lyme??

I have NEVER had -- Brain fog, clumsiness, confusion, fever, meningitis, severe joint pain, no swelling in joints, no rash, no recent flu-like illness, no severe fatigue, no numbness/bells palsy

Neurogurl, I am experiencing all of the visual disturbances you described and they can all be very scary. For me personally they have created even more anxiety than was already there. I would encourage you to see an LLMD - I have my first appointment with one tomorrow. Lots of luck!!
