Don't think doxy is working

I've been on 200 mg of doxy a day for almost 6 weeks now.. Thought at times that I was herxing but now just think its the Lyme point blank period.. Shouldn't I feel better after herxing if it is a herx ?? I was also on Mepron for about 3 weeks but ran out... Things just don't seem to be getting better n worse in some ways.. I get a ozone iv once a week 3rd one this week will be introducing natural antibiotics for the Lyme first 2 were basically to help with mold and some toxins... This Lyme is scary stuff.....

Well, that is a low dose of doxy. Along with the 3 weeks of Mepron, I think you have pretty much "riled the Beast". Stirring things up like that will make your symptoms worse.

You are good and primed for the introduction of your next meds!

And yes, with a herx you should feel better after a while and see some improvement afterwards.

Mepron is usually used for babesia, and is really about a 6-month experience. 3 weeks is when it is used for (malaria?) its original intent.

Ditto the doxy, which is usually given at 300-600mg a day, depending on your other meds.

As for feeling better, I haven't gotten there yet and I've been on doxy 3-4 months and mepron for 2. Most veterans of the abx wars say you really need a year to assess success. I don't like the idea of waiting a year, who does, but I like the idea of quitting on a potentially successful treatment even less.
