Tooth pain with ceftin

I recently went off my antibiotics because I ran out (having to send away for a 3 month prescription every time is a big pain in the neck!). I noticed awful tooth/jaw/sinus pain when I first started the ceftin but thought maybe it was an actual sinus infection (I tend to get a lot of them). Now after one dose of the ceftin that pain is back! Is this normal, for an antibiotic to cause this? Or maybe a side effect that has nothing to do with Lyme? I also started having awful daily chest pain once I started tindamax...it's like the different drugs target different areas of infection. That would make it seem like there are different forms of bacteria in different parts of the body. Just thought it was kind of interesting.

Also...I've been incredibly itchy since restarting abx, even before the ceftin which I was afraid I was allergic to. Is itching a herx thing? Because I never had it before with tindamax or doxy, only ceftin.

I just had a root canal over a week ago, I had this pain in my jaw that would come and go,for months. I would get pain that would come and go in my gums

When I started rifampin and Biaxin for bart I got real inflamed gums for a few weeks, I never felt anything like that before

Lyme and coinfections can cause a lot of oral problems, I have met others that also had oral problems from Lyme disease

Maybe you have some kind of infection in your mouth that the ceftin is hitting

The best thing to do is see your dentist and he can do an xray and see if you have any infections

Or have a doctor look at your sinuses to see if you have any infections

I feel a lot better since I got the root canal and my gums are not inflamed anymore

I have seen pictures of dogs and cats with bart and their gums were inflamed

Sometimes with infections in the mouth the pain can show up in other areas in your face because of all the nerves in the mouth
