I'm like Borderlyme,
"I'm the oddball of my family. Everyone stress eats and when I have stress I can't eat. I eat a lot of protein and fiber and usually not a lot of carba, unless I binge which happens from time to time."
I usually put the 'right' amount of food on my plate, eat that and I'm done. I just don't get the signals telling me I'm hungry or full. There were times (in the past) when I would just eat and eat as I 'felt' really hungry, but I didn't ever feel full, or satisfied. Now I have realized that those signals have been disrupted for some reason - and I like to blame my TBI"s!!
Then all of a sudden, I am having hypoglycemic type of symptoms.. My doc told me to raise my protein intake, not easy when I was already eating high protein, very high fiber and low carb diet anyway! But I have and it has helped some, at least I quit having the shakes and almost passing out about
2 or 3 hours after eating breakfast and lunch!
Right now I'm tracking my temp during the day in an attempt to figure out if my adrenals or thyroid isn't getting enough hormones again thus causing these symptoms for me.
