Definitely go after your Disability asap! Do you need help in finding a LLMD to help get your Disability? Here are a couple of links to sites that have a lot info for filing:
www.drjoneskids.com/ www.lymeinfo.net/insurance.html Unfortunately it's true - testing negative for any of the tick-borne infections doesn't mean that you don't have them. There are soooo many (literally hundreds in some) strains of each infection and we only test for 2 or 3 of them at best. It's always best for a practitioner to go by symptoms and don't be surprised if after treating a couple of infections you start showing signs of yet another co-infection. That's how it works. Another member very aptly described it as similar to peeling away the layers of an onion. One doesn't know exactly what lies under the next layer.
Viruses seem to be almost common with those who have a tick-borne infection for any amount of time. Your Practitioner will be able to address this as well.
Please be sure to detox! It is a
very important part of our healing. You can find an excellent explanation of what to do in the "New to Lyme?" thread - it's the second post down. Don't forget to do the dry skin brushing and drink as much lemon (or lime) water as you can get down you as well!
Hang in there! We are here to help you make sense of as much of this as we can!
