Okay,
-Just my own opinion here!!!! -
So I have to reveal finally that I
was a heavily addicted smoker.
Although I never smoked more than 15 cigarettes in a day, I was seriously addicted! Each time I tried to quit, people would offer to go get me cigarettes rather than watch me go through the withdrawals!! LOL! I was such a nervous Nelly!! I was finally able to quit about
1 1/2 years ago. Yea!!!
As Yazzer has said, "nicotine's not on the list for me! I'd be worried about
it's long term effects as it is addictive (even in non-smoking forms) and it supposed to be very difficult to quit once addicted due to its affect on the brain's neurotransmitters..."
Once you're addicted to the nicotene, it's hard to break, really hard. I know that it only takes something like three days to break a physical addiction, but that doesn't speak to that
feeling of relief that comes with that hit of nicotine - that's
really hard to break the addiction to!!
Another thing is that unless you already know if you have an "addictive personality" you won't know which hit of nicotine will addict you. It could be the first one or it could be the tenth one.
It's really not worth the risks in my opinion, as addiction is not what we want our bodies dealing with, we want them concentrating on the business of healing.
