Sharp stabbing pain front of thigh

This disease continues to amaze me.  I am getting a severe stabbing pain in the front of my left thigh.  Probably just another lovely lyme surprise.  Maybe neuropathy?  Anyone ever had THIS?

My L foot is giving me trouble today. I'm guessing its just stupid Lyme. I hope it passes quickly for you!

Yes I had it on and off for several months earlier this year.

At one point it changed from a stabbing pain to a vibrating sensation that actually generated heat it was so rapid.

I'd completely forgotten about it until I had one pang this week 'cos I was herxing and had a cold.

It should go completely when you are well.

I had what I would call deep thigh pain. Being a runner, this obviously set me aback. This was before I was diagnosed with Lyme but I am now pretty sure it was related as it happened as symptoms began to multiply. The pain was deep and sharp in the middle of my thingh (quadraceps). I had to stop running several times because of it. I had it reoccur a couple of weeks ago, just for a brief time (unwinding of symptoms?)...who knows.

Thanks everyone.  It seems to have quieted down a little.  Or perhaps I have stopped noticing as I was out for the night with my son home from college while my husband has my other son out at a basketball game.  A trip to Marshalls and then out to dinner, just the two of us.  A mother's dream come true and sure to make all pains go away.  LOL.

Sharp, stabbing, mystery pains happened to me all the time-- in various places.  The worst was in my shoulder (deltoid) muscle. It hurt for a week and sent me in for an MRI. This happened back in October.  I thought I had seriously injured my rotator cuff, though there was no moment of injury!  

The MRI showed nothing! ....of course, and the pain went away on its own. Amazing that Lyme can cause such serious pain.  At least I'm convinced it was Lyme.  No other explanation. 

A few days ago my OTHER shoulder had the same exact pain.  Excruciating!  This time it lasted only 24 hours.

I had this in my right thigh twice. I've gotten pretty accustomed to most pain, but this was excrutiating and unignorable. Both times it happened was the day after I cheated had a little alcohol - after this last time I'm definitely done cheating for good!

I thought maybe it had something to do with the bacteria crossing the blood brain barrier or something - inflaming nerves or something.

I've had a sharp stabbing pain in the front of my thigh for years. It is totally excruciating and absolutely takes my breath away, but fortunately it's of very brief duration and extremely intermittent -- sometimes it happens on and off for a week or two and then goes away for months. I don't believe that for me this is Lyme related because it's been going on for so long. My internist seems clueless about the cause. Sorry this has been happening to you, but it's interesting to know I'm not the only one. I've always figured it was something neurological.
