Hello all,

I recently saw a post somewhere about HLA and detoxing issues, but can't find it now.  Does anyone know anything about this?  My daughter had her HLA testing done, but then we changed doctors and our current doctor said he had never heard of this.  I don't know what the results mean.  She does seem to have a huge problem with detoxing, so I am wondering if this could be her issue, but I can't find information on it.  Thanks for any wisdom/direction.

Do you maybe mean HLA DR? I know DQ is something, but I'm pretty sure it's the HLA DR genetic testing people have been talking about recently - try using the search function at the top of the page there's some pretty good information.

I did do a search....and it all seems like a foriegn language to me! This is what my daughter's test results show:
DRB1 1101
DRB1 1501
HLA DQ 0301
HLA DQ 0602

DRB3  0602

DRB3  02FVGA

Does this mean anything to anyone?  Does this show if she has the gene that makes it hard to detox lyme?  Or am I even looking at the right test?  If not, can someone tell me what the exact test for this is?  Thanks again!

I think this is the right test - I just looked back at mine and it's apparently labeled "HLA DRB, DQB Typing" - confusing!

I honestly can't decipher my own results either, and am no longer in touch with the doctor who prescribed this test. I'm going to try to bring my results to my next doctor appointment just to see if she can explain it to me - can you call your previous doctor to request an explanation?

I haven't been able to find any help on the internet with how to interpret these results, but I did come across something that said Dr. Shoemaker's book Mold Warriors has an explanation in it - perhaps start a thread to see if anyone has the book and can take a look at it for you?

i just received my results a couple of months ago and was told i'm pretty much hosed as far as my gene pool is concerned.
