Oh no I'm so sorry you're going through all of this!! Nothing's shown up functionally in all of my heart tests, although Lyme has definitely affected my heart rate, blood pressure, and I get arrhythmias all the time, for no apparent reason (other than the Lyme, obviously). Luckily the medical community knows a heck of a lot more about treating heart conditions than Lyme, so the good news is whatever's going on, it can be dealt with a lot less confusingly, I'm sure.

I feel for you LymieAngel - I had a few weeks like that, where it seemed like the harder I tried to be positive, the more went wrong - so infuriating! Eventually the frustration goes away, but in the meantime, if you need to feel pissed, then by all means! Just like someone else said in one of your other posts (I forget who) that's what helps you fight this thing!

I had heart problems with the Lyme. In fact ended up in the ER and was admitted multiple times.

They did find my heart wasn't working properly by both the EKG and stress test. They wanted to do a lot more. They wanted me on an aspirin regimen (which I decided not to do because I know my blood does not clot fast enough as it is). And they wanted to put me on a cholesterol reducing medication (even though a test showed I had no arterial plaque at all). They wanted me to go to a cardiologist and do a lot more tests.

They didn't seem to have a clue about the relationship between Lyme and the heart. So once I had determined there was no immediate danger, I figured I would just wait it out and let the Lyme treatment take care of the problem.

It worked, I am fine. So my advice to you would be to look into this for as long as you need to feel confident you are out of danger, and then bail before the tests get too invasive and provide more problems.

Achievinggrace gave some really good advice - although I've not had any serious heart issues, I would have told you the same things about the relationship between Lyme and heart issues and to be careful not to allow them to push you into anything anything that can create more issues for someone dealing with Lyme!!

Is there someone who can go with you who will be there to stand up to these people if you are having issues? Nothing like a back up system!

I know that you're going to laugh about this - but, seriously, try not to think too much or stress out over going in for these tests. It just won't help a thing! Do what you can to relax. No need causing more heart issues simply because you are worried about this test!
