I was having trouble with extreme pain and swelling in my toes a few weeks ago. When I went off antibiotics. When I went back on, the pain stopped but the redness stayed.

Now my toe on my right foot is purple.The dark purple can literally come and go within 20 minutes, but it's there and very bad looking 80% or more of the time.

My toes have also been numb, and I have frequent pain under the joint of my big toe. Does anyone else have this?

i have this....lol....and i told u already i think what my co infections were....and i know this sounds totally "off the wall"...but i had that soooooo bad last year....and all summer i worked in my yards..*i didnt start feeling sick again until late august*.....but i had been bitten twice by fire ants over the summer..right in my "affected" areas...and i havent had anymore joing pain in my toe or redish purplish rashes.....but the very tips of my toes r still numb but i think its from slight ingrown toenails....

wel i dont reccomend u getting bit by fire ants...but i have heard alot about the bee theories....but i do know...that i havnt had any problems in my toe since the bites...it could coincidence...lol...and i tested negative for bartonella....but i do have "heel" problems and when i first started treatment..it felt like i had fire coming out the tips of my toes...that was a weird feeling for sure...lol

I started having problems with my big toe about 5 or 6 months ago... Hurt all the time under big toe and looked like there was a callus. It throbbed and bothered me all the time. Still does. Went to podiatrist and had orthotics made, tried new socks, new shoes... Nothing helped. Went to Dermatologist and was given a topical pain cream.

This was all before testing positive. I know it is one of the symptoms that bothers me most.

I read that the red in the nail bed and the change of the nail itself may be nerve problems so I am taking Lyrica. Does not solve the problem but maybe it will help in preventing more nerve problems?
