I read the post on treatment in Mexico...

I am in Texas and have friends with relatives across the border. Does anyone know the regulations or rules regarding getting prescriptions for abx filled and back to states?

If you see a doctor in Mexico and they prescribe antibiotics, you are fine. If you have a prescription from the states that you bring to Mexico, I don't know exactly what they would do...I imagine they would probably fill it. If you don't have a prescription....I can't go into details about that because it is illegal to get drugs without a prescription, and I'm pretty sure they don't let discussions of illegal activities occur here.

Understand.

I was talking about having a prescription from here in the states and having it filled at pharmacy there....I am fairly cetain that it is legal but do not know if there is a limit to the amount you can have filled, etc... I will look into it but was just interested if anyone knew off the top of their head.

Yeah...I don't know. I know that I am in Canada and when I saw a doctor in the states, Canadian pharmacies wouldn't recognize the American prescription. BUT- Mexico seems more relaxed. So I don't know. You might be able to get a doctor to re-write your prescription if the pharmacy won't take it;.
